Josephine's Modern American Bistro

This was an anniversary celebration which was noted when making the reservation. However, none of the staff acknowledged this special event. Our entrees were served lukewarm, and one steak was well-done despite being ordered as medium-well. The flowers on the table were beyond needing to be thrown out. While the waiter was very pleasant and efficient, his attention was almost too excessive. The pecan pie was lost in all the fruit frills added to it. The setting was charming and the food was near satisfactory. But overall, it was a disappointing evening. Most likely we will not visit again.

I worked in restaurants in Chicago for at least 28yrs in management. When the server comes to your table with his hand in his pockets, he's that's a freaking no no!!! We ordered the crab cakes 2 orders they were cold, queso fundido was a Mexican street corn blend put together. Mac Cheese Diablo shrimps were under cooked. Oh ya let's not forget the non existent server, we ordered espresso's they were cold and they were made 2 feet behind us!! For $300 check not for meee!

First time dining with the family. What can I say? Everything in the menu looks delicious! I like be the location and the ambience. I love the fact that it used to be a house and turned to a lovely restaurant. The food is delicious. Our server was sweet and very nice. The service overall was wonderful! Next time we visit from Phoenix, we will definitely come again.

The food was delicious and offered generous portions for the price. Despite some issues with the service, the ambiance at the restaurant remains great even with Humphreys. Fortunately, the drinks and food were perfect, making up for any shortcomings in the service. Reserva una mesa ahora

The food is delicious, but the restaurant is small and crowded, especially on busy nights. I would come here for a more upscale dining experience, but it's not one of my regular spots.

Wow! An amazing experience I have to honestly say it was the best meal of the year. It was a stellar meal from beginning to end. Kudos to the chef. 5 stars plus

The atmosphere is fantastic, the service is excellent, and every dish is delicious. Plus, they welcome dogs! I will definitely be returning.
