Finding somewhere nice to eat has always been a challenge to us, as regular travelers to San Gil, so finding this place was a pleasant surprise. I understand from the waiter that there are two Juan Mar restaurants. I am reviewing the one in the...centro commercial San Gil which is just outside town on the main road to Socorro. The restaurant is situated on the fourth floor and is open on the side facing the mountain so you get a great view, cooling breeze and depending where you sit and time of day a lot of sun ! It has a very Caribbean feel with lounge style music that I loved. Makes a change from vallenato ! I had the langostinos encocados which are jumbo shrimp coated in shredded coconut...

San Gil es una ciudad muy tranquila repleta de actividades de deportes extremos y muchos restaurantes informales para comer. En medio de todo esto, hay un gran restaurante al que, según nos dijeron, van algunos lugareños para ocasiones muy especiales (no todas porque definitivamente es caro). El lugar es muy sencillo, moderno y está en lo alto de una colina, por lo que se obtiene una excelente vista. La comida estaba increible. Su especialidad son los mariscos y todo estuvo genial desde el aperitivo hasta el postre. Los precios definitivamente están ahí, pero si estás buscando una experiencia exclusiva o celebrando un momento especial, romántico o no, definitivamente puedes ir aquí.

My family lived there and I came for a visit to San Gil and we always go to this restaurant at San Gil Plaza Mall. This time, unfortunately, the food was not good we order Cazuela de Bag re, Pargo Salsa marinera And Jaivas. The first two plates were all yellow and taste the same. The Jaiva had an acidic milk taste. We said The Waittress that we were very unpleasant and yet they calculate the whole bill about 200,000 Colombian Pesos No one from the management was there to take care of us. Very sad. I don't come back and neither my family

Mientras estuvimos en este hermoso campo de Colombia durante el fin de semana, quedamos tan impresionados con nuestra primera visita que tuvimos que regresar al día siguiente para revivir este placer gastronómico. No nos decepcionó, el marisco era fresco y sabroso y estaba cocinado a la perfección. El personal fue muy atento y amable.

A very delicious place full of flavors. Special dishes ... Fish. But poultry and beef are found there. Take a good time to spend... Food is prepared fresh, so it is not a fast food service. Price is not bad for the product. Service is great.

This is a really good place to eat. Great food, beatiful place and a great customer service. It is one of the best in San Gil.
