As a German from Hannover let me Tell you: Star for authentic handcrafted food. star for more that fair prices. star for the smart service, always caring for new beer. Hint: some rough jokes are part of the local serving style to...encourage you to enjoy food and drinks star for the beer diversity (Keller beer would be my recommendation for starters. try one Rauch beer before ordering more, might not be everybodies favorite). Star because that place is always crowded and it's usual to be seatet at the same table with locals or tourists in this cosy tavern. Our persons group went there as other places were too full. Somehow we managed one table for all of us. The waiters were super friendly. I must say, food portions were huge for us. Everyone in our group struggled to finish own portions. Tasty...food and good beer. Nice place to seat. Highly recommend to try out the dish with pork knuckle with sauerkraut.
good food and friendly service. a little upset when they said they didn't accept credit cards when the lady was paid in front of us by the card. the server murmured something about taking German cards? for tourists this information is important when they eat. with food and wine and work a bill. fortunately, we had a bit of money.
Came with a very large group, and we all got served quickly. i ordered an Apple Schorle and a large salad with turkey meat strips. Good reasonable prices and the food was very filling and tasty. Conversations inside were easy to hear and the place...is very cozy. Nicely decorated, good place to eat inside or outside.

the restaurant was quite small and was packed when I visited lunch on Sunday. the fried pork bell was in order, not the best I had in Germany. it was a good value for money. social distancing was not well observed.
that was simply the best I had lived in Germany in all my life. if they appreciate simple but good German cuisine, this typical Franconian restaurant will blow up their minds.
