FOOD DRINKS This restaurant offers a wild selection of some Japanese classics. Eel, fried chicken, pork cutlet, ramen and much more. The question is if the chef can actually pull that off? I can't say for sure because I was only able to order...one dish. I wanted to order more to see for myself but I was already full after the first dish. With the eel I think its sourced from Germany or Europe. I doubt you can get fresh Japanese eel imported for that price. Japanese eel can be very expensive in Japan and is considered a delicacy. I am not so much into eel anyway so I tried the variant with chicken. The chicken was tender and soft which shouldn't be too hard since its dark meat. There is some...

The Kagaya is not a typical restaurant for dinner, but a place where you drink Sake or Shochu and eat something. Therefore, the large selection of rice wine or snapshots, which are then prepared with typical Izekaya Esse, i.e. small portions of almost everything the Japanese cuisine has to offer, in best housewives. Japanese cooking are combines respect for ingredient with fine craftsmanship, but unfortunately Kogaya failed on both front. We tried two dishes, pork katsu and teriyaki chicken. Both meat dishes were overcooked and try, making it very unpleasant. Breadcrumb used was stale and took away from...the dish (its suppose to add texture and a nice grain flavour). Okonomiyaki was nice but had small fragments of pork bone (which is a massive technical flaw), which was a real pity

Restaurant or snack? Anyway, food is important. The share of Japanese guests is quite high here, but please don't let them be extinguished. It only shows that the food is really good, right? The Misosuppe tastes like Mom. Sushi always fresh and tasty.
