Loved: the scenery, well presented attentive efficient staff, perfectly cooked battered fish prawns, generous portion sizes. Didn't love: the prepackaged sachets of tasteless runny tartare sauce, grubby toilets that smelled haven't been deep cleaned in a long time, dirty outdoor tables with bird poop and dust on them (also not deep cleaned in a very long time), watered down brown vinegar (perhaps I'm used to balsamic or white vinegar, but it didn't taste like vinegar at all). Really didn't love: barely warm, undercooked soggy chips that tasted like that were from a generic supermarket bag. This is something a fish chippery has no excuse for not mastering, particularly for the price, and that...

Every now and then I would drive all the way from rivervale to Freo for fish and chips. Fish and chips it's probably something that we be able to find almost everywhere that we go but I prefer kailis brothers simply because they sell raw ingredients there. Every time I went down there, I always comes back with fresh produce. This time I've got myself some scollop. Which is very fresh that time. Based on the food. Personally I think it's a bit over priced, But they have their reason. Their serving of chips is really overwhelming. I mean in my head... Fish and chips means equal portion of fish as well as equal portion of chips, but for them it's 1 part fish, 2 part chips. It's insane!! I just...

Fish chips by the seaside is pretty much mandatory when you 're married to an Englishman. The selection of dishes is really good I opted for seafood delight and he had snapper chips . With a small coke and tartar sauce it came to a shocking price of $40.50. For that I expect perfection. Sadly the overall experience was a huge disappointment. Whilst the fish was perfectly cooked everything else was subpar. The batter was thin and not crispy at all, the tartar sauce was positively the worst I 've ever had (I suggest they Google a recipe to at least try to get close to what it should be like) and the chips were soggy. Even the seagulls weren 't interested! Also I hated the announcement of ready...

Fish and chips $15.50, soft chips, fishy. Pass. Half lobster with 1/2 dozen tiger prawns $41. Beautifully BBQ rock lobster, firm and sweet. Love it! Chilli muscles $15, tangy tomato base with just a tiny bit of spice (not spicy at all if you can handle spiciness well) and plump muscles. Yum! A lovely lunch by the waters, seated indoors and not have the seagulls eyeing your food. Return in the evening at on a Sunday for dinner and it was crowded. Lobster’s overcooked and naked, without the topping like you see in the picture, still sweet though, just not as nice as lunch. Reserva una mesa ahora

Love the seafood here. It was really crowded. My favourite was the chilli mussels but the chef probably forgot to add chilli, it was tomato based mussels. Fish kebab was interesting. Chilled prawns is nice. Fish and chips was fresh. Only 2 down side is that they didn’t have tobasco. You have the option to buy, oysters was a little small. Lastly, too much chips in our 1 portion of fish and chips, we couldn’t finish with 3 of us eating, maybe because we ordered a lot of food. Felt a little bad to waste food. Other than that all is good!

Fresh seafood at reasonable prices. To those hesitating on whether to add on the 'Rock Lobster ', I say go for it! Best decision. We had the grilled basket with Rock Lobster, some oysters and the spirits from the alcohol counter. I 'm a big fan of wine the staff was really nice to share which options are the best. Will definitely come back to try the 'fried ' section.

Grant's service was absolutely wonderful, made us feel well taken care of including my dad who is vegetarian. The Harbour Delight platter was massive and 5 of us still had leftovers to take home. Dad had the vegan fish and chips and got free pineapple fritters too. Loved the Cosmopolitan, I had 2!

Beautiful seafood, a little pricey but worth it for the taste and atmosphere. Especially loved the marinated octopus and grilled squid. Oysters weren’t super fresh but everything else on the plate was delicious and more than sufficient for 2. Would visit again if in the vicinity :
