We had an excellent meal here, with friendly staff and nice ambiance. We aren 't local (we 're on a trip out west) but found this to be a highlight of our time in Banff and Canmore. There are not many Filipino options and it is not exactly authentic Filipino cuisine. The only Filipino Large Dish was the Kare Kare, which is pictured here BUT it was a great twist on it. I think they do some Filipino fusions and I am usually wary of those but they aced it here.
The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent; they helped us choose the perfect dishes. There are plenty of seating options both indoors and outdoors, creating a lovely cozy atmosphere. However, I was a bit let down because I wished the menu had more variety. Some popular items mentioned in reviews weren't available when we visited, which was disappointing.
We have tried this place at a weekend getaway to try something new, it was an amazing experience and we will go again! There is a welcoming and cozy atmosphere, excellent service and cleanliness. The calamari puttenesca was far too salty (I do love salt). I had the icelandic Cod. Beautiful presentation, under seasoned and not hot enough in temperature for me; it was more luke warm. Drinks far to overpriced. It was nice to try out. I wouldn't bother a return visit Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$40–50
