plang is disappointed. this review can be found with more pictures that upload here takes me too long. also on my blog: [hidden link] and in short form at holidaycheck. the birthday of the dear husband approaches and we finally want to go back to our absolute favourite restaurant, the blasberger hof in schriesheim. the overnight opportunities in schriesheim are manageable and in recent years we have always stayed in the new ludwigstal. new to this hotel is just the word in the name. everything is a bit dusty, but clean, relatiw inexpensive and quiet. the room generous. the breakfast takes place in a rather dark room, but it is all at a simple level. However, a taxi to our restaurant is necessary....and there has been a new hotel since March 2011, in the immediate vicinity of the radiant hof, the hotel imiser. we looked at our last visit to schriesheim from the outside and were already a little surprised at the high price level. the hotel is located in a historic department store and makes a good impression from the outside. ok, we are no longer the youngest, will be comfortable and then also pay a bit more for our convenience. the homepage of the hotel promises: discover an ideal ambiente for your short stay or longer stays and a stylish location for private or business events. spontaneously I book at the beginning october the classic room, the cheapest that there is, at the price of slip 175 € for the double room with breakfast. quickly I get an email of the hotel....with a 6!!! side agb and a reservation confirmation that I should fill out, of course, with the indication of my credit card number and send back or faxes. so it started... and it didn't get better. due to professional reasons my man and I arrive at some different times with 2 cars. my man is already 10 minutes ahead of me, he has found the parking lot of the hotel about 4 minutes walk away and explains to me on the phone how I find the corner on a public parking lot. unfortunately it rains and I think with worries about the many parking spaces in the new ludwigstal right in front of the door. my man is brought by a worker of the reception into the room number 113, gets an instruction in the menu of the stylish apple multimedia tw and the employee goes back. he is back at the reception when I arrive a few minutes later, welcomes me kindly. I know that I have reserved a room for the name t., that I must have arrived, and that I could have seen a rather amazed look and the question: want them to stay in the room for two . yes I want.... I think and say something irritated: yes we usually do so. the nice coworker brings me to the room, the dear old man is already in the open door. on the bed of the room I find a greeting letter, addressed to herrn w., which you warmly welcome. I'm swept....the room wasn't meant for us, the employee asked me if I wanted to stay there, and because we're nice people, we want to check out for security reasons if all this is his order. my man goes with the letter to the reception, asks if we are in the right room and gets the answer....again from the same one with less: everything is right. my man keeps his suit, I still have to move and a little bit of ****, that's why I'm going after getting rid of the travel clothes naked in the bathroom. the bathroom door remains open due to the spatial close and in the same second the room door opens and I hear a laughing voice that tells to my man sitting on the bed and looking to dress up, directed in English: we will share this room tonight. who has brought us both to the room, has confirmed that it is the right room, now bringing the next guest to the room again at a maximum of 30 minutes later. Something's going bad? the room is otherwise small, furnished with black furniture, which can also be seen on the homepage in each room, all nice straight and modern, pretty little smiles on the night table, with which you can even read, two sesselchen, a small table, sufficient space for the garderobe, a minibar and the already mentioned chic apple screen, above a small writing table. everything you need, but everything very tight. especially the bathroom. you open the door...is standing in front of the now in every new hotel to find completely impractical set wash basin. this is safe to back, but leads to the fact that everything is sprayed around. who wants to go to the bathroom or to the shower, must first step right, close the door of the bathroom and then go on in the super-narrow bath. to get into the glass shower you have to open a corner door, the shower has a walk-in entrance, pleasant, but overall is very narrow. we want to spend a quiet night here after a good meal in the rayberger hof, close the curtains in the room and delete the lights against 23 clocks. but it won't get dark....for two reasons. on the door there is an illuminated switch that easily manages to brighten the entire room. unfortunately, I have no patch to stick the part. the signs under the illuminated temperature display also hang a little windslee within the frame...but this is only noticeable when uploading the photo. that our room is located to the courtyard and in the courtyard burn at the entrance of the hotel two super-bright stand lights. between deck and curtain is an approx. 2 cm large gap over the whole front of our room...and through which it shines penetrant all night. we sleep very, very bad. around 5 o'clock in the morning the first cars on the road and the night is finally over. At 8 o'clock we enter the space in which the breakfast buffet is built. on the table that is exactly on the wall opposite the at the beginning sitting alone a dame at the breakfast. we decide to take on the right side place and note that the arrangement of the tables allows everything, only not a cozy breakfast. each for 2 persons covered tables are so close to each other that one sits on the lap almost his neighbour. the gap between the tables through which you then have to hang to get to the breakfast buffet is so narrow that I have not got through with my dress size 40/42 here. and then.... comes a young lady from the service and kindly points out that the tables for the breakfast are covered on the other side of the hotel and we would be happy to change. we do. we choose a table a bit away from the lady who is already there and who tells us that she has gone the same way. shortly afterwards, the colleagues of the dame, a total of 7 of the number, exactly 4 two tables are standing next to each other and we are sitting quasi with the table, although our table is laterally facing the 4 tables, the backs of the men who sit right next to us come our table very close and also for these people each floor is difficult to flush. with which we're at the next point, which has pissed us off. 4 stars, boutique hotel with high demands and praises, but an breakfast that comes at low level. my man makes himself from the few existing ingredients a bad one, for example there are no nuts. for this there are juices of granini, as the vessels at least suggest. in hotels of this price we are used to a freshly pressed orange juice. 3 small tellers with cheese, with the right and left outer bee of mine one and the same sort of cheap cut cheese was from which I was not sure whether it contains a dye or preservative. sorte number two a simple camembert, in between a small plate with scarlet, somewhat matt in the optics, but in order. no gurke, no tomate, some packed things do not go to a hotel of this price. . some types of sausage... but we don't eat. also natural yoghurt and yogurt with fruit red... whatever it was. There is no buffet inscription. positiw notices that there is a bowl with fresh fruit and also various splashed fruit varieties, including orange, grapefruit, ananas, melone. also delicious, the cappuccino we order. However, the young lady alone is in the service, must refill, for now a total of 10 guests wish for mirror and coffee and she does not see that our tassen are long empty, runs several times past our table without looking at us once. I have to say no more that we would like to drink another cappuccino. he is there a little later, however, what I personally noticed was negatiw. there is a basket with different rolls, but not a single brot? overall an breakfast that we are much better used by comparable hotels. sample: hotel concord in berlin. 5 stars, currently for a night for 2 people in the simplest room category with breakfast with significantly larger rooms, than in the hotel imperial in schriesheim, with a sensational breakfast buffet, with a attentive doorman who reaches the umbrella when it rains and also likes to park the car in the deep garage, in which you will have welcomed in spite of the great guests in the morning on the way to breakfast etc. or the beautiful quinta magnolia near lissabon, in which jaime has enchanted us all by ourselves an breakfast buffet of the finest. And now we come to the crowning hihi, which fits the hotel imperial conclusion of our expensive and disappointing overnight: my man will pay, the bill is printed out. 225 €. I am no longer quite sure how high the price was, but have the mail on my ipad. the well-organized husband draws it printed out of his pocket: 175 €. the dame at the reception does sound that we had an upgrade to a deluxe room and the only thought that goes through my head at this moment: how might a classic room look if we have now been able to fit in a deluxe room under skipping the superior category? my man pays 175 €, the dame still apologises for the wrong price and we leave the hotel, look at us in the courtyard, laugh and agree that this was our first and last night in the hotel imiser in schriesheim.
