Have to say I was a bit skeptical about ordering because, I have my go to places and don't like being disappointed with Greek food. The staff was extremely friendly and happy to engage in conversation.I had called 15 minutes prior and didn't have to wait too long for my food.I can't say I loved the chicken it was in the bland side and a few pieces I didn't fancy the smell. In saying that, I am very picky with my meat and the smell of meat. I'm sure there was no issue with it, just my personal pickiness! I have dined here for the last 20 years + this is the best Greek cuisine I have ever had apart from my mother inlaws cooking. Always fresh the meat is tender flavourful and melts in your mouth the Greek salad is also delicious with the restaurants secret signature dressing.If you don't try this place you're truly missing out on a wonderful meal.
Amerzing!. We really liked how easy it was to order in. We ordered the three-dip combination as well as the Kalyvia pizza, which is thin crust with feta, tomatoes, mozarella, and artichokes. Delicious, big serving for two people. Very authentic and tasty, well-priced, and decent delivery time (45 minutes). Highly recommended.
I love going there to get their greek fries. I think, they make it a little different from the other greek restaurants. They put more feta cheese and lemon sauce which makes it so tasty. In addition to that, their Saganaki and the way how to lighten it up in their traditional greek way .. delish

Are you kidding me? Home made Gyros? OH my goodness, what sweet beautiful music the gyro chef's are cooking up at Kalivia! I try to stop in every return home to east york. Mouth is watering thinking about the chicken gyros....mmmm Greek goodness!!
One of my top 5 restaurants in the city of Toronto been here more than 50 times over 13 years and have never had a bad experience. Excellent food, superior service, short wait times, moderate prices. Very highly recommended!
I wish we had liked this place more. It was family day, so maybe they had a long one. Food was decent enough Greek, but it was just OK. So was the service, sadly. Bar was mediocre. Argh. Really wanted to like it more.
The bakaliaro dinner is just great! Especially when Jimmy is cooking! Aris is a great waiter...very attentive! You must try the chicken gyros...very juicy!

Kalyvia has THE best fried calamari accompanied with a small side of tzatziki a wedge of lemon. The lamb chops ae cooked to one 's desired 'doneness '
Plates are all well presented, the wait staff is attentive without being pushing and the food is terrific.
