Conveniently located in the historic Chinatown, friendly staff, good selection of dim sum, and very affordable price, Kam Wai Dim Sum is a gem.Turnip cake has been my favourite food in the whole world since I was a little kid. It is popular as the hot/ fresh one may be sold out before 4 p.m. A couple of times I managed to get the last one by 4 p.m. They became lukewarm and slightly soggy but still tasted good. I am sure it would be delicious if it was hot and fresh! Only $4.75!The frozen one is sold out often, too! I got the yellow sponge cake instead and it was only $3.25!They take credit card so it is convenient. I will definitely come back with a big shopping bag!

Stream rice is perfectly done, not too soft not too hard. Soy sauce is perfect too. Unlike other Chinese restaurants their rice is high quality, probably best in Vancouver. Incredible value for foods in Vancouver. Must visit if you are in China town.
