Have been going to this place every Friday night for ages, order the same thing every week, a Steak Sandwich. Tonight, ordered the same thing but when the order came out it was a Steak Burger. Told the owner I ordered a steak sandwich and she said 'no you ordered a steak burger'. I told her I was there every week and always ordered a Steak Sandwich......turns out the problem was they had run out of bread and couldn't provide a Sandwich. Owner turned into the rudest person I have ever met. Tucked away in a typical suburban shopping strip. Busy car park. The uninspiring location is more than compensated for a bright clean shop, friendly staff, quick service and most importantly super-fresh food, beautifully cooked and presented. Large fish fillets are portioned into four pieces and cooked separately if requested. The salads are always crispy fresh. I've been three times now and I'm always satisfied with the experience. The local bottle-o is one shop away so there's no-cost BYO if you enjoy a nice white wine with your grilled red emperor while sitting in the spacious out-door dining area. When this fish shop open it was great, fish so yummy but last couple of times and especially yesterday lunch was terrible,. The fish was suppose to be Barra, tasted more like cod to me and the crumbs on it were horrible.didnt taste nice at all and the batter on the other was so oily. Did not enjoy the chips, they were hard.i won't be going back here again,was so disappointed with my lunch
Would have to say we had the very freshest battered snapper cooked to absolute perfection. Would go out of our way to come here again for freshly cooked fish. If we had known before hand how good this place was would have ordered other seafood to go with it. There will definitely be a next time....for sure. So lucky to have right on our doorstep.

We used to travel to the Gold Coast and even to Tasmania for good fish but found it under our noses in Calamvale, Brisbane.Consistently fresh, moist and beautifully cooked and presented.- - takeaway or alfresco dining.No imported Basa, only top notch Australian and New Zealand fish.
This would have to be the best Seafood Takeaway I have discovered in years, and luckily I leave just down the road.Food from this establishment is consistently of the highest quality & servings are very generous.Hoping they keep it up..Would recommend to any seafood lover.
I've been here a number of times. Good burgers and seafood, however I feel the serving size of the chips in the burger meal deal has gotten a little smaller lately. That's a minor gripe though. I still look forward stopping by when I'm in the area.
Consistently good! And it is BYO with no corkage! You just help yourself to their glasses. Helpful friendly staff. Good value.
