I've only had takeout from this restaurant, and to put it simply, the quality of the fish does not justify the prices. I also tried the omakase takeout, and the overall flavor was no different from less expensive options. I would say the taste and quality are about the same or even slightly worse than what you’d find at Sushi Yoshi down the street. On the plus side, the service is good, and the packaging and presentation match the price point. Unfortunately, after multiple attempts, the food consistently fell short of expectations.
When I visited, they only offered take-out options. I brought my own lunch box and asked them to pack my food in it. Overall, the quality of the dishes was good considering the price. However, I found the lotus root and tree fungus to be too sweet for my taste. The chef was a kind Japanese gentleman, and I appreciated the good service; he gave me a sense of peace during my visit.

So glad to see this place took over Sen Nari's spot and even kept some of the same sushi chefs. We were really sad when we heard Sen Nari closed but they have kept things relatively similar--still offering incredible quality fish at a reasonable price. We had a great experience sitting at the sushi bar. They definitely took care of us.

This is a great Japanese sushi restaurant located in Gardena. It serves authentic Japanese sushi instead of a fusion style. My favorite dish is the "Oshizushi," and I’m delighted to have found such high-quality sushi here. Don't forget to order the "Mochi Ice" before you leave!
Always delicious! It's quick, convenient..and delicious! Service is quick. The wait is about 15-20 minutes from the time you order. Great option for dinner in and you don't want to cook. You can also call in your order for pick up. There's ample parking.
The best Omakase experience ever! The owner, Brian, is incredible. We’ve been coming here almost every week since they opened! Their chawanmushi and miso soup are our favorites and are a highlight of the Omakase.

If you want the best, Kanpachi is it. They provide the best sushi and service. I wouldn't go anywhere when I can eat at Kanpachi
