Karkogelhütte - Reservar una mesa

we used our Abtenau holiday pass for one round trip on the cable car. It was a bright and sunny day with the slopes busy with skiers snow boarders of all ages and abilities. The toboggan run was popular, too. Although the Hutte was very busy we found a table with a great view and enjoyed gluhwein and topfenstrudel. The waitress was cheerful with everyone and happy to help: the atmosphere was familiale. As we considered leaving, a family of six came in and were delighted that we vacated the table for them. We have been visiting Abtenau as the Barnsley Ski Friends group for about 35years. At one time it was a pleasure to visit the Karkogelhuette but now there is a very limited menu and the quality is poor. The view continues to be spectacular: the hospitality is not. If you want to eat, visit the Kolhof instead.

Wir waren im Februar 2017 da und konnten, wegen des guten Wetter auf der Terrasse essen. Die Aussicht ist atemberaubend schön. Die einfachen Gerichte, (ausreichend für die Mittagspause beim Skifahren) sehr schmackhaft. Der Service ausgesprochen freundlich

Lekker gegeten voor een prima prijs. Käsespätzle was erg lekker. We hebben buiten gezeten in het zonnetje met uitzicht op het dal en de piste. Service aan tafel. Bediening was vriendelijk en efficiënt.

I have now eaten here twice in the last three to four years or so. The food and service has always been really great and the view from the patio is spectacular. I will go there again when in Abtenau.
