Interior and exterior decor is excellent and the place is very cozy. The owner is about nice, served us almost at closing and had a pleasant conversation with a family member of us who asked him stupid questions before we left. There's nothing to despise here. The food was good and very reasonable and our waiter was super chilly and attentive, although it was (again) almost closing time. I have many good restaurants in my area (Long Island) but this is one that I could steal and add because I was unfortunately gone to visit family!

Please read the whole review. We almost turned around the door because the request looks a bit outdated and not very well maintained. But we tried... The food was very good and well portioned and expensive. The owner was very hospitable and helpful, not to mention, he is also the cook and was served extremely fast. This place has much more potential, but owner has to invest a bit more time cleaning and organization. Overall we had a good experience.

This place refurbished falafel to be this fried yellow tasteless goop that is not the Lebanese, middle eastern variety. Tahini is ok and probably from a can, Dolma is good and probably from a can, Babaghanoush is a tasteless blob. Had to give up and go to another dinner. The only saving grace is the backyard with a (only one) friendly, fast staff.

A charming garden restaurant in the heart of New Haven. A real find. The lamb-shield is absolutely divine. The fish tagine was also quite delicious. In any case, would recommend a nice afternoon or evening. Has BYOB to eat, and also dog friendly.
