Dunkles Lokal mit eher rustikal anmutenden Ambiente. Der Service ist nicht der schnellste und scheint die Bestellung nicht ganz genau zu nehmen. Insgesamt sind zwischen Eintreffen und einer ersten Getränkebestellung fast 35min vergangen, Speisekarten waren bis dahin nicht am Tisch, diese wurden nach weiteren 15min mit den Getränken gebracht. Nach weiteren 20min konnte letztendlich auch Essen bestellt werden, dies kam entsprechend spät, 1 1/2h später, am Tisch an und war teilweise falsch. Die Beilagensalate verdienen die Bezeichnung nicht, das Dressing war quasi ungewürzt, Mais, Paprika, Peperoni und Oliven aus der Dose, der Eisbergsalat teilweise braun. Bratkartoffeln waren nur noch versalze...
one of the few yet, the pubs can still be. well maintained beer of fass and what suitable to eat. if then there is still a good entertainment with french, a hospitable from the neighboring or with the guide, then it is simply as it should be. and if you are not talking, the ears and the heart have to do with the really good music, which is perfectly adapted once after the wishes of the guests. You don't come here to rush, but to be human.
Eine richtige Kneipe ohne Schnick und Schnack, uriger Wirt, gute Musik (Rock/Blues, nicht zu laut), einfaches Essen und geplegtes Pils. Das alles zu absolut angemmessen Preisen, was will man mehr?Na gut, wer gepflegt im edlen Ambiene dinieren möchte, ist hier definitiv fehl am Platz.
Uriges Lokal und schattiger Biergarten, freundliche und gemütliche Atmosphäre, der Chef bedient selbst und hat immer einen schönen Spruch in Bickenbacher Dialekt auf Lager, kalte Getränke und heiße Pizza oder Kochkäs Schnitzel sind super.

definitiw our favorite pub. it is completely original and rustic. eating tastes good and the prices are absolutely okay. what makes for us the chestnut so special is the family feeling.A great pub, as a pub should also be.
