the service was excellent. our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, without being overlaid, intrusive or annoying. the menu had enough options and variety. eating was excellent and the old fashion was really well done. the menu is just a bit high, but is certainly not inappropriate for the quality they receive and in consideration of the market and comparable restaurants. This place is a gem! Historically located in the RJ Reynolds building, classy but not to much for us normal folk. Free valet out front. Izzy was our server and she was impeccable! Knowledgeable in all aspects of menu, guided us through a tour of all the wines and was just pleasant in all aspects of our experience. Can’t recommend enough.

We met a couple at the Katharine a couple we've never met before! When the server heard this, she offered us a complimentary glass of champagne! The food was lovely, the server was lovely, we shared a beautiful experience!

Beautiful vintage building. Restaurant décor is an interesting mix of art deco and modern. Service and food were both outstanding. I would recommend for a really nice night out.
