I would not come here again. Terrible service. I came with my family and 2 small children. Kids were hungry so we wanted to place their order first before deciding on ours, but were told no and that the entire order had to be placed together. I have never been told this at any restaurant ever. We ordered few individual items, and they basically told us if we wanted our food quickly we should order a thali because the kitchen is very busy. Thalis are $26 and one per person only so obviously this is where they make the most money. Then, to top it all off, we found a hair in one of our dishes! We pointed it out to the server, who then instead of just apologizing and replacing, told us it wasn’t...
We drove an hour to try this thali restaurant, but the experience was disappointing. The service was poor and the staff was rude. Refills took an excessively long time to arrive, and we had to ask several times. When we received the bill, one of our friends went to the restroom, and while we waited for him to return with his card, the server insisted we clear the table because there were others waiting outside. This was particularly inconsiderate, as we were just about to leave. The overall treatment we received as customers was quite upsetting. The food is overrated, and I would advise full-time non-vegetarians and part-time vegetarians to think twice before visiting this place.

Good Gujarati and kathiyawadi dinner and thali . Very Authentic and generous portions. TThey get packed and waiting is long so reservations is highly recommended. Also the servers are cordial, courteous and really serve you like “ a mother in law sasuji feeding her jamai son in law ok that’s a gujju analogy but you get the point. It’s a must visit for good gujju veg Indian food. You get four different veggies/ curries with unlimited refills . Only negative is limited farsan and mithai. We were only served dhokla and gulag jamun and in thali we usually get more options .
Suggested by friends and went here first time .. it’s a little far from central NJ but wanted to try it out . Food was great . They had 3 thalis .. we tried all .. I like the Punjabi thali a lot. Gujarati and Kathiawadi thali was good too . 25-30$ per thali was a bit expensive though ! Food taste is good but expensive !!Also , the service is so bad ! About an hour wait time .. restaurant is small and couldn’t accommodate more people .. hope they can improve the service . 3 stars is max I can give for the taste of food !!
I am short of adjectives to describe how good the food is. I live in Germany and visiting my family living in New Jersey.It is practically comfort food taking you right to Gujarat. Food is ultra-delicious, finger licking and yummy.Service is very very good. Food is served piping hot. After our dinner, they had the courtesy to warm our dessert.My allergy request was noted and food was served accordingly.I will definitely go back again.Hats off to the team to recreate authentic gujarati food in foreign land.
The food is great, but it would be ideal if they could rotate their vegetable curries. We’ve visited three times now, and we’re starting to get bored with the same choices each time. Additionally, while the wait is always stated as 20 minutes, it often ends up being anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes. The tables are also quite small for the plates. Although they offer unlimited plates, the refills are not very frequent. I strongly encourage them to add more variety to the menu!
