Katsune Donkatsu Cafe

I really enjoy the cheese cutlet at this restaurant. It has a generous amount of cheese, just the right proportion of pork, and a crispy, thin batter. It is quite filling for most people. However, the shrimp cutlet is mostly batter, around 75-80%. Although they fry it well, I understand that they cannot offer expensive shrimp at this price point. Nevertheless, the excessive batter makes it greasy and hard to finish. If you enjoy a heavy batter, you may like it. The pork cutlet tastes good, but the ratio of batter to meat is not to my preference. It would be great if they offered a thicker cut at a higher price as I would be willing to pay for that. I would rate the cheese cutlet a 5 out of 5...

$13 for two big pieces, rice, coleslaw, pickled onion, and sauce. Two people can share! Where are you going to find that with todays prices? First time that I had katsu, had the chicken the breading is very light and non greasy was very tasty. Very friendly staff and service. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I visited the restaurant once and really enjoyed their crispy Katsu cutlets. I would love to go back again in the future. We ordered the Chicken Katsu and Shrimp Katsu, both of which came in large portions at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this place for a dine-in lunch option.
