katz’s delicatessen is one of these rare diamonds. I never knew this place existed, but obviously based on the hundreds of pictures on the wall many famous people have visited this place and is now a tourist favorit. from the outside it looks like any other ordinary place, except the line of people who wait outside, which causes curiosity. Inoculation cards are needed if in other ways no care is fed. I like that while waiting for her order, the metzger will make her taste the meat, so they can be sure that they choose her. we ordered the corned bark sandwich and the pastrami sandwich and it was delicious juicy. the metzger Mr.Mariano is very generous and puts a lot of meat on our sandwiches,...
I had this Katz's box sent to my brother at the tail end of his COVID fight. He and his wife loved all the treats in the box, each more than the last. Would be nice if there were an option to add to a box (like I'd have loved to send soup, but didn't want the other options in the get well box). Also my brother's ideal box would be all full sour pickles. But he was entirely thrilled with what he got. They loved the corned beef. Made the black and whites disappear the first night. Said the pickles were the best ever. Said the pastrami was the best thing in the box.
I typically love Katzs. However for a 30.00 sandwich i found it greasy and fatty this time. I think the price is insane! Plus you cant order their french fries. Soup was great but again super expensive. I thought i was getting a large. It was also a bit too salty. Bummer, they were my favorite and a great place to get a decent and somewhat reasonable deal
Really amazing sandwiches! This place deserved its reputation. Both the Reuben and Katzs Pastrami are different and are both delicious. However, if I were to pick, Ill go with the Reuben. Love the slightly chewy texture and the addition of cheese, sauerkraut, as well as the Russian Dressing!

So glad to see Katz Deli on Door Dash for Nationwide delivery! We LOVE NYC and we love the culture and family owned deli's. We have ordered from Katz directly but now we can order from them in our All Time Favorite Delivery App DoorDash! Much Luv Katz Deli!
you can dip or take. if they decide to dinate in, they must show the proof of kovid vaccination. the waiting time is not too long, even if the waiting line looks huge. large pastrami sandwich, make sure not to lose the ticket they give them at the entrance!
Honestly just not worth the price point. Should be valued around 15-18. I mean they just slap pastrami meat onto to two pieces of wheat bread and you have to pay extra for basic condiments.
Amazing bread, incredible pastrami. I prefer the pickles when more cured , those are fresh and super crispy (some people like it that way) . The Russian dressing is unique!

The frankfurter was grilled like I like it and I received mustard and sauerkraut along with my pastrami sandwich which was fantastic.
The Best Sandwiches! Great place to visit while you're in New York. Love the pickles too!
