Been there a few times with friends. Food is very good. Very unique and trendy food and drink menu. Must try their pancakes and tumeric / beetroot latte. Pricing is decent. Nicely decorated place. Free parking available. However, the biggest disappointment was the poor service and especially from the male manager! He was very rude, short tempered with customers and even unhelpful when asking for a menu! I was rudely advised by another female waitress that I could not make a complaint as he was the manager. After discussing the issue of poor customer service directly with the male manager, it ended with him reluctantly apologizing and unexpectedly slapping his own face twice?!?! His behaviour...

Hubby, daughter and I had breakfast here this morning. The service is outstanding, quietly friendly, attentive and obliging. We ordered from the menu, but asked if we could change a few things on 2 of the dishes. Sure - no problem at all! Anything can do for you we are happy to do. The food was cooked and presented well and tasted delicious. Hubby had the full breakfast and thought it was scrumptious, daughter and I had the yummy spring onions and potato hash browns with poached eggs, we swapped smoked salmon for bacon and daughter opted out of the hollandaise sauce. We wouldn't come back. Despite the nice food and coffee, the service doesn't warrant a repeat visit.We waited nearly an hour for our food. After approx 45 mins we asked a female waitress how long it would take for our food to arrive, and she assured us she would check. She went out the back, and we could see through the kitchen door that she was snacking rather than checking. She then spent ~5 mins serving other customers and didn't come back to us. We then asked the male employee (who seemed to be the manager) the same question, and he came back with an answer. The female waitress brought us out our food with no comment... No apology whatsoever.Left a sour taste in our mouth.

We went here for a meal with friends last night, a Friday. It was busy, and pretty noisy, but the staff were particularly pleasant.We had mains and desserts, and all dishes were delicious. We had to wait a little while for our mains, but that was simply because they were all freshly cooked to order, so no complaints. The shared salad of roquet, apple and pears was delicious, and the desserts were great too. Popped in for lunch today. Havn't been to this cafe in years. Very nice little spot. Lovely staff. Ordered a pulled pork slider with coleslaw and Kimichi dressing. Add a side of fries for $1. Pork was delicious, certainly bigger than the average slider. Kimichi dressing a bit spicy for me. My hubby had the pulled pork salad. Coffee was good and a nice selection of fresh leaf teas. Had a look at the dinner menu and it was very nice. Also have a wood fired pizza oven for the evenings. Will def be back for dinner!!!

Went here today for lunch with family, as I am on my quarterly visit to Perth to visit grandkids and grand dog too.Sandwiched between a fish and chippery and a hairdressers , this unpretentious but very well credentialled diner is a place all residents south of the Swan should go.The choices are wide ranging ( I recommend the Hash Benedict or pork slider ) the service is prompt and friendly and the environs tastefully quirky.I think I will return for dinner tomorrow.Highly recommended

Tried to make a booking through their website. Was confirmed via email. Only then to be called to say they can't take bookings at that time. Then please don't make use of online services if you can't uphold it.

We love Kava Cafe, and especially on Wednesday and Thursday nights, as when you purchase 1 pizza you receive on Wednesday a Marguertia and Thursday Peperoni Pizza for free, and all are delicious... Reserva una mesa ahora

Good selection of food. Byo great service. Nice place to chill. Was able to to change particular dish on menu. Good selection from which to order.

Dropped in for Lunch and the food was very tasty. Staff are friendly and most importantly good coffee.
