Certainly won’t be going back. Ordered 2 coffees , a scone and a chocolate brownie. At the point of paying I was told there was no cream with the scone but a pot was clearly visible with the scone and jam. I asked if that would be an available and the young girl agreed it would , at which point a more mature lady came from the kitchen and said it was display only and that they didn’t have any. I suggested that it would be a good idea to remove the pot as it was misleading but the reply was that’s not your decision it’s mine and she replaced the pot on the display. There was then a search for some jam and I suggest someone sarcastically that this may also not be available. This brought about a response that my sarcasm was abusive behaviour and would not be tolerated and I did expect the arrogance of the staff member to lead to be being asked to leave I had paid at this time). That wasn’t the case and I was left waiting for our coffees. One coffee was placed on the tray and I awaited the 2nd one but it was clear the assistant wasn’t making a second one. One again the mature lady came out and told me I should sit down and the tray would be brought to our table but was clearly unaware one drink was missing. After much searching to find the original order it was confirmed another coffee would’ve made and the whole tray brought to our table. The lady who brought this was pleasant and a far cry from the mature lady who was clearly in charge. Maybe the mood I was now in has some bearing on my enjoyment of food that was delivered but all I can say is that it looked better than it tasted both the scone and the brownie were bland and the coffee barely warm). I have been a customer since the shop/cafe opened and at one point had a loyalty card. This experience and my overall view of the shop has changed and I see no reason to return as there are places offering better quality and value in the Skipton area.

Have wanted to visit here for a while. son had a football game near by we thought we would give it a try . Heard good reports when first opened . Afraid left feeling very disappointed. We arrived 11.15 and seated promptly and had order taken from the breakfast menu by lovely waitress young blonde hair . It was busy but no more than would expect from anywhere on a nice Sunday morning of that size offering that menu( no queues . While we were waiting one of the waitress seemed very stressed small red hair , she was rushing about saying F**k at every opportunity while clearing tables then as she ran into the drinks area. My son picked up on it first then my husband who was at the loo when son had mentioned it said the same . I heard her then say pis* the food was average . Farmhouse breakfast not worth 13.50 , poached eggs dry, bacon burnt , hash brown not able to cut into . We visited the shop after eating , some lovely things but a lot of the staff appeared miserable too unfriendly . We spent over £75 on our first visit . We won’t be back much nicer places

Great farm shop and pleasant staff who knew their stock. Good range of interesting local food. Mezzanine cafe and toilets impossible to access by disabled customers as wheelchair lift de-commisioned and blocked off. Wheel chair user had to stay in the car, feeling unwelcome. Cafe staff did appear Deaf aware, despite the echoing acoustics. They looked straight at me so I could lipread, didn 't shout . There 's no easy sign for Yorkshire scoundrel , but they were delicious

Decided to go for first time in three years.Got a table straight away but had to wait to order drinks.Food was great plenty and tasty. Very busy Sunday morning with minimal staff , tables left with plates on.My wife ordered a drink and had to go to the bar herself to get it .The service let the place down. Need more staff on especially at busy times .
