First of all, I want to clarify that this review is not about Kelley's food, which has always been excellent. Instead, I'm addressing their business practices. About a week and a half ago, I drafted a review regarding an incident that took place on Easter Sunday (April 17, 2022). However, I hesitated to post it after receiving a call from Kelley's Alvin Management, a member of the Kelley family, who seemed to resolve the issue—or so I believed. Kelly 's Alvin is our favorite of all Kelly 's and our homestyle meal choice when dining out for many years. Anyone can have a 'bad experience ' without bashing the basis. Today 's MAMA 's meatloaf that we ordered take-out was not what it has always been....the meat was tough and the texture actually required using a knife, and no sight of the usual vegs in the meatloaf, perhaps too much bread and eggs, very compacted. This negatively affected the flavor. I expect management would appreciate knowing this coming from a long-time patron. I ask the cook... Great place for home cooked food! Large menu to pick from that changes a little from day to day. I usually always order their Chicken Fried Steak as it's really hard to beat, it's just that good and one is plenty big for satisfying a big appetite! Iorder mashed potatoes and gravy along with fried okra and a glass of iced tea! They also usually have meatloaf, fried chicken,fried catfish, liver and onions, and a large selection of sides! They also have burgers and other sandwiches if that's whatyou'd like. The staff is always friendly and helpful also! Great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

I recently visited the Alvin location and placed an order at the checkout register on December 5, 2022. Unfortunately, the young woman who took my order was quite rude and seemed unfriendly. There was no greeting or acknowledgment, such as "welcome" or "good evening." Instead, she just stared at me until I finally made my takeout order. Reserva una mesa ahora

Vegetable soup is the worst I have ever had. I placed a to go order and I got carrots and green beans, no beef. Called the manager to complain. Took the soup back the next day to show the manager and I got a better batch. The manager never apologized and she looked like she was bothered. Will never go back to Kelly's!!

I visited Kelly's and had a really disappointing experience. After waiting an hour just to place my Thanksgiving dinner order, I then waited another two hours without receiving my meal. The service was also quite unfriendly. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had, and I certainly won’t be going back.

I had the fried shrimp, and it was hot and freshly cooked. While they weren't the best I've ever had, the generous portion certainly made up for it!

Been going here for years. Quality has seriously slipped. Gave them 3 tries in one week .I will not be going back.
