Update (June 2023): Oh how far things have fallen and deteriorated. The initial Japanese tapas spirit is difficult to find. Food hangs on the last remaining laurels of the original recipes. They served stale uni (that reeks of ammonia) which could make people sick. The meat was cooked without soul. Oh, and the tonkatsu simply was a pork tempura. The beef curry udon senseless with drapes of pulled beef. This is really becoming a joke. And yes, the prices are still quite high. We won't be returning. Update (Sep 2022): Still absolutely a wonderful experience. Amazing food, well done Japanese fusion that brings out a mouth full of flavors. Wagyu and garlic and ikura all harmonize in a lovely con...

It's a decent restaurant. The food is good, but the flavors are on the mild side (both my friend and I felt that). I wish they had brought out our appetizers first before the entrées. They brought both of the dishes at the same time, so one was cold by the time I finished the other. My friend and I ordered 4 dishes in total- oxtail udon, wagyu steak garlic rice, uni flan, and chicken karaage. Uni flan was very bland. Wagyu steak was buttery, and rice had a pleasant garlic flavor; nothing too overpowering. The sauce that came with karaage was pretty good.

Restaurant had a lot of open seats at 6:30pm on a Tuesday night. Lots of free street parking around here. You order all your food online on a running tab for your table. Prices are expensive, but quite valuable. The smoked poke was a highlight and the veggie tempura was very fresh and worth it. They don 't have a lot of basic Japanese cuisine like sushi or curry rice, but instead have a menu filled with really interesting items. Staff are very nice and attentive. Thank you!

Delicious drinks and food. The sake-jito was really good. The appetizer were very appealing. Perhaps the best edamame ever? Veg tempura was crisp and not soggy. Amazing corn tempura. Rice based veggie box with tofu was delicious. Flavorful and satisfying. The service wasn't super but no issues. Food comes out in weird order. Reserva una mesa ahora

Don’t worth the money. The food is ok, but I don’t think it worth of the price. With this price, you can have decent okamase in bay area. In additional, the uni is the worse uni I ever had. For a restaurant with $100/person, the uni should be much fresher. In all, you can get better food (uni) elsewhere.

My favorite restaurant in RWC. Nice staff who remember you. A rotating menu with restaurant staples offering fresh fish, Japanese style fried food, udon, and more! A great sake menu without an obscene upcharge. Refreshing cocktails to boot! Great food for a great price!

As a Japanese person, I found the chicken Karaage here to be incredibly delicious. The other dishes also tasted similar to Japanese cuisine, and I enjoyed them very much. The service was also good, and I will definitely come back to eat here again. Reserva una mesa ahora

I’d recommend the wagyu garlic rice, it was delicious! The grilled unagi bowl was ok/average. We went for lunch and the portion was not big but just enough for two of us.
