I went for the first time after a recommendation from a friend and ordered a whole spread for Memorial Day. First of all, the girl at the window Alisa was very nasty! That should 've been my sign to walk away. I proceeded to order the brisket and rib tips, greens, macaroni and cheese, yams, and baked beans. Bought was I disappointed...the rib tips were all bone and dry, the brisket was RUBBER, and no flavor. The greens were tasteless, the mac and cheese, baked beans, and yams were just okay. I was baffled when I saw Alisa with London nails... work the register with long nails and then go package bread without gloves and without washing her hands! I guess that is one of the reasons this place...

Went in the early days of them opening and it was great. But sadly over time the quality just is not up to par on BBQ meat. I opted to get the three meat combo with the BBQ sauce on the side to see how the meat stood on it's own without being showered insauce. Meat was slim for the pickings since they where out of the ones I picked. Sadly it just was not up to snuff at all.Hardly any seasoning. I've been to enough BBQ houses to know quality when I see it and this was simply not the best. While I'dlike to recommend this place and support a local business, I can't in this case. Hopefully it's more of a supplier issue andthey can order better quality meats considering they are not an economical...
Stay away the desserts are horrible. Disgusting and just disrespectful. I called and asked Mgr Quan if he tasted his desserts, he said no but blamed it on new employees. What we were served was ridiculous. Who ever made this ????should be fired forserving this to the customers. The peach cobbler was soup!!!!????????. The banana pudding was WET And soupy with cream withrotten bananas. What a shame. I refuse to ever go back here. The food was ok NOTHING to brag about. Need more seasoning! Overallexperience sucked! Being a Inglewoodian I wouldn't reccomend to anyone from the Wood or outside. Managers taste your productbefore serving to your customers.
This was my second and last time. First time it was a 7/10 but I was wanting some BBQ for memorial day. Ordered whole chicken and tips. This by far was the worst food I've experienced in LA . The tips were all bone and grissle ... The chicken didn't have that fall off the bone BBQ texture. It was more like quick grilled chicken. The thigh and breast were extremely tough. And both tasted like he cooked them the night before in preparation of being busy on Memorial Day . Cause they had that familiar reheated meat taste. Like the refrigerator taste And it was all dry. For $45 I won't be back. And for sure won't suggest it either. . Reserva una mesa ahora
Came to this Black-owned restaurant for Memorial Day, so of course it was very busy. Food was ready about 20-30 minutes after I ordered. Everything tasted great. The three meat combo plate came with two sides (premium sides are not included). I recommend it, especially for first timers, because you get to try multiple different meats. My favorite sides were the mac and cheese and the baked beans. The candied yams weren't really candied, more so just sweet potatoes. Portion sizes of the sides were pretty small. That being said, I'd definitely come back again.
My B.F and I first time coming to the place to try something different. I can't eat pork so i asked if the pulled pork can be placed in a separate container and the guy there said no...we got the dinner with three meats and two sides and this is what wasgiven...didn't know the sides were that small, the baked beans is nasty very blan, macoroni salad was Nassty, my BF said thepull pork was to sweet and the chicken was not smoked, and the beef ribs had no meat on it and overcooked, their sauce isgross....never try them again ????????????????????
Good service but BLAND overcooked food. I went for the second time and I can NOT recommend this place to anyone. The greens tasted like it was just boiled in water. The beans taste like they just opened a can of pork and beans. The brisket was DRY like hard, DRY. I honestly think they did not use salt and pepper bc everything was so BLAND. No smoke flavor, could have even been baked in an onion.Never again
I recently ordered from this establishment and I must say, the pork ribs were good but could have used the flavor of a seasoned rub, the potato salad however was not as good, not authentic. The worst part of it all was the beans, out of a can , no flavor, no sauce, just beans out the can. Can do a lot better. For the $105 paid, it was not worth it. It was more like a $40 tray. I will not dine there again. Reserva una mesa ahora
Food was phenomenal, but I can?t say I was happy with the prices. Had the 3 meat dinner (chicken, ribs, and sliced beef) with collards and mac and cheese and it was $30. It was delicious and I had someone to split it with but damn that was high.

"We had a fantastic evening celebrating our friend Barbara's birthday. The food was delightful, and the restaurant features TVs and great music. The decor is beautiful, and the prices are quite reasonable. We're grateful to have this place in our area, and we'll definitely be back to support it.
