We had a fantastic experience here! Amazing food and such good prices. We ordered the Keren special #4) with chicken and thought it was delicious! It was also big enough for two of us to share granted we don?t have huge appetites). I cannot recall having such good food for dinner in a sit down restaurant for less then $10 each. The wait staff were super kind and helpful, especially helping us decide what to order. I would highly recommend!
Knew I had to have African food while visiting DC for a conference and wow this place did not disappoint! The restaurant was packed when I went to pick up my takeout order, a good sign on a Sunday night. My order was still ready in under 20 minutes, still hot when I got back to my hotel. The fish dulet and ful were both excellent, I understand the hype!
We were so happy to have found this restaurant. Definite newbies when it comes to Ethiopian food, we split the vegetable platter with a side of meat. Sorry I don't have the exact menu item name! The food was several dishes, lentils, potatoes, and a few others plus the meat. Each one individually seasoned and was so delicious.
After hearing raving reviews from our friends, we finally tried this place?..which quickly became our favorite Ethiopian place in the city. Get the Ethiopian beer, it?s tasty and cheap!! Everything was superb. From the service and charm, to the copious amounts of the most delicious food. This restaurant in Adams Morgan needs to be on everyone’s list who enjoys flavorful food!
Excellent food! Unpretentious and very affordable. The staff is welcoming and professional. My favourite restaurant in the area. Highly recommended! UPDATE: still fantastic 5 years later!
I would say Keren is the best breakfast spot in DMV. I would always go there anytime any day. Very cozy and reasonable price. Check them out you won?t be embarrassed.
