My wife and I were here on a trip to the Rhineland for our wedding anniversary. She had Wiener schnitzel, I had black pudding with mashed potatoes. Both meals were really good and reasonably priced. The local brew Kolsch (Gaffel in this case) as good as ever. Pleasant location, just off the River Rhine, near to the hundreds of shops around the Dom. Just a note, take some pennies to pay the musicians who entertain the diners around the square.

Lovely food and great location. Beer is very good. Only thing I would say is that service to the outside area needs to be improved. Every time I needed a waiter they were nowhere in sight for at least 10 mins. I would recommend it however as the apart from food and location the staff are really sweet and speak good English.

My husband took the Schweinhaxe with Sauerkraut and was very satisfied. I took the wienerschnitzel and it was perfect as well. Good prices and quick service. The only strange thing is that they do not accept any credit card at all. We live in year 2017 and all restaurants should definately offer that service.

We visit the restaurant during lunch. Order Haxe Pork Knuckle for 14 euro. Very big portion for us - asian stomach, so I share with my husband. It came with potato and coleslaw. The beer is great. Light and refreshing. There was street singers who light up the mood. Love the place very very much.. Reserva una mesa ahora

The barkeep/waiter was really funny and on top of his tables. We had their local beer, sausages and schnitzel (the thing to order anywhere in Germany, it seems) and it was number 2 of the 10 in the places we ordered it. It's right off the main town square, so you can't really miss it.

This place is awesome. Friendly and fast service, right on the square with outside seating, and of course the food. I had the ham knuckle and apple strudel and hot damn it was so good I felt things I haven't felt in years.

I don't know why we went here. We wanted to have traditional food. But if you're not a meathead, you shouldn't go here. We should've known better. The waiters were nice though, and it's on a central spot.

Stopped here for the pork knuckle, and it didn't disappoint. Good service and good beer. Staff are friendly and even made a joke in English that a kid could finish the massive portion. Reserva una mesa ahora

We went there Sunday for late lunch. Their service is fast and friendly. Food was good and the staff were helpful. Overall it's a good place to eat and drink.
