I visited a different KFC to get a $20 meal because the first location I went to was out of cookies due to their system being down. At the second KFC, I encountered a broken intercom. While I was waiting in line, I reached the window and was informed that they only had dark meat available because their fryer wasn't working. This KFC is located on Western Ave in Peoria, IL. food was ok. seems like the company as a whole has gone drastically down hill. it used to be a favorite of mine. my last several visits have been less than great. food was not awful but it was not great. i had a 2 piece combo and my chicken was barely warm. tasted old. it definitely was not fresh. i ordered original recipe and got crispy. not sure if i just have bad timing on my visits and they just don't want to cook fresh.
What a run down dump. Sat in drive thru for 10 minutes while all the employes stood outside.tried to go I side and order they made me wait another 10 minutes while the stood in the back, then they wouldn 't make anything I ordered bc they would of had to cook it they don 't close for 4 more hoursFood: 1/5
KFC on Western in Peoria. Was the chicken cooked in old oil? The crust was quite dark, almost burnt in some places. The gravy and mashed potatoes were nearly watery. The only redeemable items were the biscuit, coleslaw, and soda. I will definitely try a different location next time. Food: 3/5.

My friend used to work there, and she came home complaining that the manager threw the food and shouted at people, they ate off the grills they were disgusting, they pay very little, and they just have very bad quality in general.
The chicken was slightly overcooked, but overall it was decent. It was enough to satisfy my lunchtime hunger. Food rating: 4/5.
