My husband is a big fan of the chicken at KFC, especially the Original Recipe, which is well-prepared at the Bridgewater location. They also offer grilled chicken and extra crispy options, along with a selection of rather uninspired side dishes and a few desserts. While the prices aren't as affordable as they used to be and nothing feels like a great deal anymore, you can still get a family-sized meal that won't cost a fortune. Plus, they have it hot and ready for you in just a few minutes.
I had to try the new chicken sandwich, and it didn't disappoint. The sandwich featured a juicy, crispy, hot chicken breast served on a wonderfully soft and warm roll. The flavors were very fresh; my only critiques are that it was a bit salty, and the pickles were slightly limp and perhaps a bit too thick. If you enjoy KFC chicken, you will definitely love this! The coleslaw was also excellent—cold and fresh!
This KFC in Bridgewater on Route 22 could benefit from a more experienced staff, particularly at the drive-thru. The order taker I encountered today at 3 PM was quite disappointing. He lacked good people skills, and his customer service etiquette leaves much to be desired. It seems that some retraining in customer service would be essential for staff in this fast-food establishment.
The service is quick, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. However, there needs to be more attention to quality control. There have been instances where I didn’t receive exactly what I ordered—for example, I often get more small drumstick wings than thighs. Additionally, the crispy coating tends to be too floury. For a fast food restaurant, this place really hits the mark. My orders have always been accurate, and the staff is friendly and helpful, especially the person (who I think is the nighttime manager). The only downside is the poorly designed parking lot; when it gets busy, the drive-thru line spills out onto the highway, which can create some frustrating delays.
The special Mountain Dew soda was quite enjoyable. The chicken was as great as it used to be. The service was pleasant, and we didn't have to wait long. However, the prices were quite high, and there were no deals or specials available, which left us feeling disappointed.
