Came here for dinner on a Thursday evening at around 8pm to check out Christmas lights at belmont shore after. Parking in that shopping center is spotty and we did street parking. Minus 1 for that because I hate going to places where parking isn't effortless but I get it. It's Belmont shore. They ran out of some items on the menu which okay, fine. It's late in the evening. But our server went on his break without a word and finding anyone to get the check took some time. Service could've been better. Wait staff is young so although I can say I get it, it is a bit annoying. I'd go elsewhere the Indian place there is good but I tend to go for sushi on a date over curries haha
We have been coming here since they were Sushi of Naples. Sushi here melts in your mouth. Definite recommendations are their albacore sushi, black sea bream, and their amber jack. We order these every time we come, and it never disappoints. My other favorite is their hamachi kama, which you have to ask for early in the night, or they run out. Yes, it is that good!The service and staff have been very excellent too. We always feel welcomed and know our friends by name. The sushi chefs and owner are very welcoming and super friendly. We always order off the menu, and they always make sure to accommodate us! One day, they will name our off menu sushi roll after us!
On a brighter note, I used to rave about you as the "best sushi place!" I was referred to you and it became my go-to spot. I would even travel an hour just to enjoy your sushi, and it was always worth it! Seriously, it was the absolute best! My boyfriend and I tried other places due to our work schedules but were always disappointed. We're thrilled to be moving closer to our favorite sushi place! Thank you, Erwin, for making your restaurant special and for taking pride in your seafood selection. The atmosphere has always been fantastic!
We opted for the omakase experience and had a fantastic time! Our chef, Koji San, was incredible. He explained each dish as he presented it to us. Every plate was delicious, but my favorite was the seared toro—it was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious! I highly recommend this place! Excellent food and excellent service.

We had a great time at Kihon with 3 generations in our group, including teenage son. We are able to order everything from the most unique sushi (teenager favorite), to dumplings to teriyaki and tempura platter. Softshell crab sushi is a favorite. Reservations recommended since the restaurant is small but popular.
We spent New Year's Eve. at Kihon and were so happy that we chose this restaurant. Great food, friendly service, nice ambiance , great bar menu and great sushi bar.
The loudest restaurant I have ever been to! The service was fair at best and it’s expensive for what you get! Don’t think we are going back!
Just the best freshest Sashimi I ever had somewhere. Excellent, unbelievable wonderful restaurant. A jewel in LBC.
