I love the smell of this bakery/chocolate/ice cream shop. The smell is awesome. When you enter you immediately get the amazing aroma of chocolate. This was a fun place to stop in to. The restaurant is bright and nicely decorated. They have a very wide variety to choose from. I got two mint cookies and two dark chocolate truffles. The bill came out out to over $7 before tax (not a cheap place). The mint cookie was amazing. Great combination of chocolate and mint flavors. The dark chocolate truffles were average. I would have preferred a sweeter taste. I have tried the ice cream at other locations and can recommend that as well. For a chocolate shop that usually kills it, I recommend Kilwin's.
I was truly impressed by all the custom handmade treats on display; I had such a hard time choosing that I ended up trying everything! The shop also stays open until about 9 PM, which is great for evening visits.
For my friend Michael's 34th birthday party, I ordered a dark chocolate ice cream cake, and let me tell you, it was a hit! This incredible cake was devoured in just 6.5 seconds! All the party guests adored it and wanted more, so I’m sure they’ll be visiting Kilwins soon. What are you waiting for? Go check it out!
This is a fantastic restaurant for family fun and delicious treats! I absolutely love the green apples, and there are so many options to choose from—all the apples are always fresh. My favorites are the apple turtles. My two daughters really enjoy the ice cream, especially the butter pecan and vanilla flavors. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, providing wonderful customer service.
On the positive side, the ice cream is smooth and delightful, and they have a wide variety of flavors with varying calorie counts, some reaching over 300 calories. If you add a cone, you’re likely looking at over 1,000 calories! However, I suppose it's a nice treat. A bonus was getting to watch the employee make chocolate walnut fudge right in front of us. Enjoy the summer!

The staff could benefit from additional training in various cultural cuisines when interacting with customers. It's important to recognize that Elmhurst is home to a diverse population, not just a Caucasian demographic.
Staff is very friendly, attentive, and always provides great food and frozen treats! The dining area is always kept clean and during the spring/summer they have extended hours.
Everything is wonderful and the family who owns it are so the best they make you feel so welcomed. I will be visiting Kilwins a lot, everything tastes so good and fresh
