If I could give it 6 stars I would!! Overall, Kimball house has a lovely atmosphere, great service, and some of the best food in town— full of flavor and with a great balance of textures. In more detail (dish by dish breakdown : Mushroom Tartine: THE dish of the night!! Literally life changing, amazing, everything about it was perfect full of complex flavor (with a slightly Asian element? and the crunch of the sourdough with the mushrooms/leeks is to die for I cannot recommend this small plate enough! Blackberry Eclair: SUPER GOOD! Very complex layering of flavors with all of the different components Green salad: really refreshing! The sourness of the dressing balances with the sweet crunch...

Restaurant/food experience: Location is beautiful with variety of seating options inside, outside, table, bar, high chair, booth. Also stunning interior and details antique/modern combination (look at their ceiling fan system..! . Ordered the duck breast and pork chop. The food is definitely good but IMO not really worth the price point. Bar experience: Atmosphere 8/10 Cool bar area with stylish back bar. Modern/antique interior. Also cool details, like an old school cashier machine probably their original machine from the past. Drinks 7/10 Big cocktail menu and decent cocktails. Recommend to try their signature Kimball Cocktail, which is basically a martini variation with alternative garnis...

I'm a frequent diner at Kimball House. On my most recent vist, I arrived and was told there was a 30 minute wait for party of 1 at the bar not a problem and it turned out to be only 15 min. When I asked if I could have a cocktail while I waited, the host suggested that I go across the street to the grocery for beer or wine. Really? I'm to traipse across the street and pick up a six pack and some solo cups? I think not. If I had had a guest with me I would have been mortified with embarrassment. When I arrive at my other usual spots, I'm greeted warmly and a drink is offered without me even asking. A great restaurant is more than just good food. My partner and I went to Kimball House to celebrate our two year anniversary. Cooper took care of us and we had the loveliest time, so we returned for our three year anniversary this year! We hit some atl traffic and the hostess (Madison I believe) was incredibly kind and accommodated our delayed arrival. Chris took care of us and we had a wonderful experience. We love ordering a bunch of small plates rather than a couple entrees, and Chris expertly coursed out our meal to complement our drink choices. Every single one of his recommendations were divine. I’m always in search of the perfect steak and I finally found it here! My husband and I usually get filets because of their tenderness. The bartender understood exactly what we wanted when I asked for it to be cooked up or plus 1. This was the best steak I’ve had and my husband (who had a Kobe steak in Vegas, that’s his best so far) was highly impressed! He was almost torn and of course the price of this filet was a lot less. It was even flavorful throughout and the most tender! It seemed to melt in your mouth. I’ve been to just about all of the top steak spots in Atlanta and sometimes even they are limited on temperatures. My search is over in Atlanta! Eureka!

Our first experience was spectacular. Our second experience, incredibly disappointing. Our first visit we had one delightful waiter who introduced us to the restaurant and menu and was incredibly attentive. Food and drinks were terrific. After raving about our experience, we brought two friends to have dinner with us there. We had three waiters who never introduced themselves and our entrees took almost an hour and a half to be brought to us. The worst part was that the entrees were cold. I reached out via email over a week ago and never heard back. I'm not sure which version of Kimball House you may get, but my initial impression has been washed away.

Didn 't meet expectations. Friendly place, lots of buzz. Courteous bussing crew, inattentive servers. We heard: Your food will be right out! a couple times. Oysters were good, steaks were disappointing. Three of four arrived cold, possibly because one was ordered well-done. The manager replied without expression to my disappointment with: Thank you for telling me. I didn 't hear regret or apology, so perhaps our experience was a common one. That interaction prompted this, my first post.

I mean, what can you say? Kimball House has been a long time favorite. Never, not once, have I had a bad experience here. The bartenders and waitstaff are giving cool, calm and laid back but they are low key experts at what they do. Will be back again this weekend. Reserva una mesa ahora

Always stellar cocktails made by extremely friendly bartenders, who just know how to make a drink right. Oysters are perfectly shelled with the brine intact. Other food is always a treat. And the oversized Parker House roll is sublime!

If they ever take Caviar Midlins off the menu it will ruin my life. Consistently exceptional.
