Tiki Bar Review: We used to really enjoy this place when Bennie was in charge, and we even had friends from afar who loved meeting us here. However, we’ve returned three times since Bennie left, and each visit has been worse than the last. Tonight was the breaking point for us. There were six of us seated at a sticky high-top table, and we waited far too long for service. When a woman finally greeted us, her demeanor was quite unfriendly. It took her an eternity to bring our drinks. I ordered Bennie’s famous punch, but it wasn’t the same at all; it was terrible, and I couldn’t finish it. One friend mentioned that his beer was flat. Cozy tiki bar with amazing decor—that’s the first thing that comes to mind. The layout features a central bar surrounded by tables and inviting couches, which were incredibly comfortable. You do need to go to the bar to place your drink order, as no one comes to take it. We ordered a fishbowl for the table along with some drinks like the Island Mai Tai and Coco Rum. While some of the drinks were a bit too strong for my taste, I really enjoyed the Coco Rum. Overall, the service was good, and I would definitely recommend visiting at least once.
The restaurant downstairs is called Nagoya, the second floor is a tiki lounge Call Bennies a bar atmosphere. You can order off the same menu as downstairs with some Americans style menu options to boot. Good style, lots of TVs going for sports fansupstairs; a pretty nice atmosphere with various comfortable seating and dim lighting. Give it a try. Say hi to Courtney. ??
This is a super laid-back tiki bar featuring excellent drinks, cozy lighting, and fantastic music. You can't go wrong with the combination of top-notch sushi and bar snacks. The bartenders are all friendly and attentive. Overall, it's a wonderful place to relax and enjoy.

Located on the lower level of Nagoya Sushi, King Bennie's is a hidden gem of tiki culture in New Jersey! The food is outstanding, the drinks are both tasty and strong, and the service is exceptional. I highly recommend checking it out!

Steer clear of this place! The bartender seems to be a scammer, charging almost $20 for a double and then becoming rude when questioned about it. They are charging New York City prices for a dive bar—definitely a hard pass!
What happened? This used to be a great neighborhood bar with fantastic music and a diverse, relaxed crowd. Now it feels like a total dive bar, only playing loud rap music. It's dirty and has a creepy vibe—such a shame!

long time customer and fan. new ownership of tiki bar upstairs and today was incredibly disappointed. miss the old staff. all about the service and will say I will never go back. sad.
