I have lived on the street for 24 years and this will always be my favorite local Chinese food. I ordered a lot of food tonight and waited for about an hour. it was worth waiting. my father went to rest and always loved moo goo gai pan (picture) all the time when he lived in long beach, ca. he says it's the best Chinese he lived in the west. (so bild is sweet and sour chicken and house special lo mein.) thank you for continuing to be a community book, noah
Food is hit and a miss here sometimes it’s great sometimes it’s bad. Sometimes it a hour wait and they say 15 ‘mins. I caught them for the 3rd time trying to overcharge me by $5 and if they do that to everyone it’s adds up to a lot. Check the prices and so the math don’t get ripped of by these ppl coming to America to take advantage of us. Most people pay and don’t look at the receipt.
The food at this restaurant is excellent, but there is a significant wait time for your order. I placed my order at 3:38pm and it is currently 6:26pm, and I am still waiting. This has been a consistent issue every time I visit. The quickest I have received my food was about an hour. It seems like they could benefit from hiring additional staff, like a prep cook, to improve efficiency.
Sometimes the food is good, but the service is always bad. Being understood while ordering on the phone is an excercise in futility. Waiting an extra hour, after they tell you 35 min. is not unusual. I placed my order at 6:52 and was told it would be ready in 25-30 minutes. I arrived at 7:32 and waited for about 30 minutes before being asked about my order. It took another 15-20 minutes for my meal to be cooked, but the kitchen is always top-notch.
I think they should consider hiring more staff at this restaurant. We placed an order around 6:10 pm and it's almost 8pm, but our order still isn't ready. This is definitely a problem that needs to be addressed.
I love king house. They have the best Chinese food in town. However, they seem really overwhelmed of late, probably because their food is so good. I think they should hire a few extra hands for the dinner rush.
