We were invited to an afternoon friends and family get together and even when we left we weren't sure if the place was aiming to be a restaurant, a dance hall, a wedding venue, a working men's club or a pub. From the outside, the building looks like a decomissioned health centre: flat roof, flaking paint on the fascia boards, municipal style car parking to the side and rear. Bob was incredibly friendly and nice, providing exceptional customer service. We felt very welcomed and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and a pleasant experience. They have real casino slot machines and four large TVs showing sports. The staff is very friendly, with the person taking our order being particularly pleasant and considerate. This was our first time here and the establishment looked interesting from the outside. Great little place with amazing black Angus burgers! The staff is kind and patient and there is a great variety of beer on tap! The burgers are soft and just melt in your mouth. Request the brown ale mustard! I got the slaw and it was a great side option for watching carbs! The atmosphere is simple and clean. It was friendly and comfortable with fun programming on the television. Will be back!!
I just recently returned as a customer. New owners in 2012. Old owners sucked the life out of this place ever so slowly...step by step...inch by inch...shut the front door! I 've been back several times and the food quality is back to its hey day! This is the perfect spot for a casual dinner and a 16 ounce PBR. This is a bar, not a restaurant...remember that!

Have you tried their wings?! They are amazing! And don't forget about the Reuben sandwich. The burgers and pork tenderloin are also must-tries. Unfortunately, we have heard that the restaurant is closing due to a claim of imminent domain by the state. It is a historic establishment that is a staple in the area. It is truly a shame to see it go.
If you want a pork tenderloin as big as your head, this is the place. I've heard about this place for years and finally got here for lunch one day. Had cheese curds which were excellent. Dove into the pork tenderloin sandwich which was beat down and fried perfectly, topped with grilled onions. Perfect prices!
Amazing food! Usually not too busy, so food comes up fast. A great place to stop for a bite to eat.
