Updated Review Sept 2023. It's been a while since we ate here, but I'm pleased to report that food wise things have improved a lot. The plates come out in a relatively timely manner, and it's clear that someone is putting some effort into how things look on a plate, with well cooked ingredients and nicely dressed salad. I had the steak and stilton ciabatta with a side of fries and it was everything I expected it to be. Only negatives are that the tables aren't cleaned down quickly enough, the drinks can still take a fair while to come out, and the echoey noise level in the place makes it not great for having a conversation they could really do with putting on some sound baffle boards. Grantham is so lucky to have Kitchen and Coffee. I visit regularly anyway so know the food, drink and atmosphere is great. I enquired about hiring the venue for a private evening event. Henry replied straight away and we got the planning started. From the planning stages to the event itself, nothing was too much trouble. Henry was in constant contact with me to ensure everything would be perfect for the evening. The menu was tailored specifically to my guests and I. we came in the kitchen and coffee and queued for a few minutes. we were then greeted by a very friendly staff who showed us the seats. we were left with the menu where we thought long and hard about what we wanted to order. when the friendly server came back, we gave her our order. we asked for a few changes, which was on the menu, which they fortunately required. we might have waited 10 minutes for our meal. we were so glad to say that it was better than we hoped. it was unrealistic! we checked reviews for this place before we arrived in the opposite. we found it easy to find tricky, not to know the opposite, but glad we were going through. we're coming back. many thanks for the wonderful c...

This is a great spot to have lunch while in Grantham. The service was quick, perhaps too quick as they hurried to clear our plates, which made it feel like they were running low on tableware. Unfortunately, the portion size for the poached eggs on sourdough was a bit underwhelming—it was essentially one slice of bread cut in half with some eggs on top. While it tasted nice, it felt quite small (see picture). However, the coffee was good, and the pancakes were enjoyable. kitchen and coffee was recommended to me by the family, and it was a good, the works full english breakfast was very good with quality products that was also very delicious. the service was courteous and helpful, asking how they have won their eggs, is a nice note, I would and will eat there again and try other items on the menu. My only criticism is to have black pudding or hash browns that they £1.00 anyone who is a little steep, I think, but otherwise I would recommend to everyone to try them.

This place is fantastic! We stopped in Grantham for a late breakfast on our way to London, and the restaurant was bustling— it felt like the entire town was dining there. The staff was incredibly friendly and quickly recognized that we weren't locals, making us feel very welcome. The food and coffee were excellent and full of flavor. It's definitely a must-visit if you're in the area!

My partner and I absolutely love this place! We stopped in Grantham for an early morning visit, and the atmosphere was vibrant. The staff were exceptionally friendly, which made our experience even better. Both the drinks and the food were excellent and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning in the near future!

Had a fantastic experience today. Sat in the sunshine having a lovely lunch. The waitress was excellent. Very efficient and lovely too. Food was delicious. Service first class. Highly recommended.
