I was expecting excellent, especially after reading the reviews and seeing the prices. The food was just okay. For starters they do not have a kid?s menu and I decided to brunch with my 4 year old -1 star). She had chicken and pancakes there was no French toast available that day). The chicken seemed a bit over cooked too crisp) -1 star), however, the pancakes were good +1 star). The salmon bites and sauce were extremely delicious +2 stars). I had the salmon with spinach and grits which was just okay. I wanted to go to this restaurant since I saw it on a Food Network Show. The restaurant is located in an industrial park. When you enter the restaurant, you will be greeted with gentle music. The tables all seem to be a dark butcher block that is really cool. You can dive, choose or have delivered your food from popular delivery services. It wasn't busy when I arrived at 10:15, but it started to fill quickly. I was so happy to sneak a high top window seat. I chose the Blackened Salmon, which is served over your choice of potatoes or chewing gums covered with spinach and a garlic cream sauce. The Griss were perfectly creamy. I stopped my KitchenCray for lunch yesterday. I usually order for pickup, but inaugurated yesterday. The food is always good from there. Her special yesterday was a cascading salmon. I got it about potatoes and spinach. It was the best stuff salmon I've ever eaten (and I tried it from many places over the years). Would recommend if you would like to try for breakfast or lunch. I also have crabs as an appetizer.

Man hear. My staff and I came this morning about 30 plus teachers. Food and service were impeccable. I'll be back many times. I had the shrimps and grits with the garlic cream sauce and the rumcake. When I sit here, I see it again. Oh, my God. I can't wait to take all I know here. KUDDOS!

I love the fact it has a soul food/ artistic feel.... Being health conscious, it's GREAT to see they have healthy options that are actually good and well proportioned....Food and service is amazing. I am and will continue to be a regular.

This place was phenomenal, the food was great! We had an age group tonight and the staff was friendly and easy to work... everything was at the top! Thanks KitchenCray for a wonderful event tonight! We're coming back!

Delicious food, personable Chef/Owner, and nice ambiance. Soulful music in the background and a staff ready to serve. Much success to Chef JR and Kitchencray cafe.

Despite the subpar service, the food was excellent. 5 for food, 4 for service. I had chicken and waffle. I'll be back to try another dish.
