Newcomer to excitement, I spotted this unique place by walking around the streets. I was able to have lunch today, on the terrace in this typical and quiet little street. The welcome is warm and typically English. We don't know what to choose so much to look delicious: it's like you had all the best cakes of your grandmother in the window: it's authentic, it puts the water in the mouth and you're chewing. I chose to taste the delicious salted krumpet for lunch. They were decorated with a green salad, lentils and crudities. I couldn't resist this beautiful carrot cake that made me look from the start. On the occasions I have visited Kitsch kafe. The beautiful Vicky always remembers my name with a smile and welcomes my presence, from a pot of tea in her amazing array of crockery to a Double 99 made with cornish Ice cream. Crumpets (sweet or savoury), Cakes, lunch time snacks. Her staff are attentive and human. which adds to the delectation of morning coffee, a light lunch or afternoon tea. Nothing is too difficult for Kitsch Kafe staff.. My last visit involved my 11 year old Grand-daughter who thought she was in heaven. and have been reminded that we must return next time she visits.
