We booked the kitty cafe in advance for my mums birthday treat. On arrival we paid a fee of £14 and had no explanation on what this was for we googled whilst we were there and found out it was for the cat welfare which is fine however to have no explanation as to why was actually quite rude. We were made aware we had an hours slot and we’re show to our table. After 5 minutes our order was taken and we were told we could roam around. Went with my daughter (and a friend and her daughter too) for her 10th birthday as she loves cats. Wrote on the booking it was her birthday and would have been nice for them to make it a little special for her, but didn't even wish her a happy birthday. Ordered food and drinks, waited a long time, friends daughters pizza turned up which was mostly tomato sauce. She had almost finished her pizza by the time her mum's food arrived. They had finished their food by the time mine and my daughter's turned up, which were southern fried chicken and halloumi wraps. Cold, tasteless, and not worth the money. Felt that the place wasn’t quite the same as it used to be.Quite disappointing really and no dedicated children’s menu so youngsters are expected to have full sized drinks and meals which of course are more expensive.Also as it’s now card only,children who have cash to spend on souvenirs are disappointed.Really there are several areas that need revisiting since the rebranding etc.My wife and I have visited this establishment on many occasions with our grandchildren and friends so really how I feel now can be justified.Will I visit again? The food and drinks were delightful, but our experience was marred by poor service. We were barely seated for a couple of minutes before being asked for our order, even though I needed more time to feed my baby. Despite reminding the staff, my friend's food was forgotten and we had to repeatedly ask for it. There was also no baby changing area, which was disappointing considering we had mentioned bringing a baby when making the reservation. Additionally, the atmosphere was disrupted by children chasing the cats, who clearly wanted to be left alone.

I was very disappointed with my experience and would not recommend this restaurant unless you are a huge fan of cats. The atmosphere was dated and not well-maintained, and the cats were not very friendly towards visitors. The entry fee was quite expensive, and while I understand it goes towards the well-being of the cats, I was not happy about getting scratched. Overall, I had a terrible experience and would not return.
Service was excellent. Staff were excellent. Carts were excellent. Food was not up to the usual caliber we have experienced before when we have eaten here. I ordered a ciabatta and got bread sandwich! My son ordered an egg mayo on fluffy white, but it wasn't fluffy or white and it had seeds in! The pizza was good, but not the same as before.
I took my mother as a surprise and we had a great time. Sadly she did not get a cat to sit on her knee but we think they were a bit spooked by a few children. I plan to go again but will avoid school holiday. Mum said it was the best sandwich she had had for a long time, clearly so did one of the cats which tried to steal her chicken !
The food were very good and the staff were nice. I enjoyed seeing the cats. The down side of this cafe is that because it is so big and it can accommodate so many customers, the cats seem to get a bit tired of all the attention. I went on a Sunday though. Maybe it was just because it was a busy day.
