Ordered English Fish Chips from here. It cost €12,50 Portion size was OK. Chips weren't hand-cut. Cooked, cold chips behind the glass were re-fried right in front of me. I couldn't believe my eyes! The best way to describe the fish is to say it's an oversized fish fillet finger, with more batter than fish. The tartare sauce was OK. Again, not made in-house. Not chunky with any fresh ingredients. Berlin is known for its amazing Turkish and West Asian cuisine. NOT for replicating decent UK fish and chips. Klar, Airport und so...da hat man keine hohen Erwartungen. Was aber hier dem vermeintlichen Fisch angetan wird gehört unter Strafe gestellt. Das Ausgangsprodukt ist minderwertiger TK Fisch (tippe auf Seelachs) der in der doppelten Menge Panade doppelt gebacken wird, um die maximale Ölbelastung für den Verdauungstrakt sicher zu stellen. Ich finde das Essen sehr lecker und es hat einen fairen Preis, wenn man bedenkt, dass es ein Flughafenrestaurant ist. Eine kleine Bemerkung ist, dass falls man grad auf strickter Diät ist sollte man hier vielleicht nicht essen, denn das Essen ist sehr fettig. Noch eine kleine Anmerkung, die Tische muss man leider selber säubern.
I find the food very tasty and it's fairly priced, considering it's an airport restaurant. One small note: if you're on a strict diet, you might want to avoid eating here, as the food is quite greasy. Another small note: unfortunately, you have to clean the tables yourself.
