Klara's Kitchen

I stopped by here for a beverage, as I had a special promotional offer. Klara’s Kitchen is located close to the University (Tram 9/10, between Universitatspital and Haldenegg stop). They offer a variety of Bio and Vegan snacks, treats, salads, sandwiches, wraps, bagels, ice cream,...smoothies and deserts. You order at the counter, as it’s a take-away shop, though they do have a couple of sidewalk tables. There is a Bio-store in the back with a variety of everyday sauces, dips, spreads, accessories and wine. I have since been back twice as I really appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and customer friendly attitude of staff person, Erik. He has been most helpful explaining items on the menu during my visits and he speaks German and English. Erik explained they use dates and nuts instead of white sugar. I have tried the fruit smoothies, which are very good and also the banana bread (3.50CHF) which was excellent. It has been a real pleasant surprise on each visit thanks to Erik. Very much recommended. Until the next time, keep up the great service!

I travel a lot and a coffee shop mixes into another one after a while, but this place was something else. Good quality to find vegan fare is not always easy and this place is worth a visit. The cake was raised.

Oh, my God!!!!!!!!!!!! People, you need to try the raw vegan lemon cheese cake!!! And the raw vegan bounty cake and the raw vegan chocolate cake!!! It is the sky!!! Pure heaven!

They have delicious food and great options for vegans and only healthy nuts. The staff is really friendly.

This restaurant offers interesting vegan delights. As good as it is, it is a bit expensive.
