Klosterhof - Reservar una mesa

Mein Gatte und ich waren gestern abend auf ein Bier und wollten eine Kleinigkeit vom Buffet. Die Auswahl ist miserabel. Kein frisches Gebäck (früher gab es eine gute Auswahl). Die Vitrine ist nicht gekühlt, sondern offen, da der Salat selber zu entnehmen ist. Bei den jetzigen Temperaturen ist keine Kühlung sehr nachlässig. Ich entschied mich für ein Glas Bratenfett mit Brot. Das Bratenfett rann flüssig auf das Brot, ich konnte es gar nicht streichen und es schmeckte auch nicht. Ich sagte dies auch dem Burschen bei der Kasse. Er bot mir dafür einen Kaffee an, den ich dankend ablehnte. Zu Hause mußte ich die falsche Entscheidung bitter büßen. Food was actually great, I had a Schnitzel and it came very quick. The problem was the service, we had reserved a table for 3 about 2 hours before we turned up. When we got there, the woman dealing with reservations seemed unsure of what to do with us, would have assumed if I have a confirmed reservation, the table would be ready. After some confusion, went to a gentleman who was her colleague, larger man with glasses. He was very rude, started getting angry at me claiming I reserved only two hours before. Very nice traditional restaurant with good food. The selection is not that wide. The menu is not as big as I expected, but the taste is good. I don't know if it is a coincidence, but when I was there, the majority of clients were elderly people. Is traditional food not fashionable anymore? Also, I am looking forward to summer because the garden sitting looks very appealing.

Be aware that a waiter may only recommend for tourists various beer bottles which are about three times more expensive than any other beer, ask not to look from menu your drink choices, and of course without mentioning anything about this. Not nice service! This doubled the bill as the drinks were more expensive than the food.

Solid traditional Austrian restaurant with long history, really nice interior and atmosphere and super fast service. Food is good, just soups weren't hot and duck breast was a little bit more done than it should have but the taste is delicious and they have a nice beer selection
