The medieval scenery around the Maulbronn Monastery is simply heavenly. Opposite the monastery church is the small but fine restaurant Eiscafé Klosterkatz. They were also really seen, surrounded by the monastery in the small green area and on the way to the café. There are 2 entrances, the left entrance is an ice salon, which is located in front of an Italian restaurant. In short and well, found at the seating in front of the restaurant 1 chocolate ice cream and ordered in the sophisticated map of the restaurant ice cream cafes, got chocolate drink with ice cream, I had not imagined, fortunately a colleague spontaneously wanted to eat it. Unfortunately, the one who picks up the orders does not know what the operator brings, as it was probably not possible today to get ice without a drinking chocolate or ice cream café. On this day there was no cake to choose from (at 4 p.m.). That's why the one point triggers. Italian dishes are also offered in the restaurant, the menu had not looked at me and can therefore tell nothing more about the price level and the food offered. After a new visit an update takes place.

The Klosterkatz is located in a historic building in the Klosterhof. It's an Italian place. Summer very nice to sit, you have the entrance of the monastery and the church in front of you. Add a delicious pizza or pasta and a beautiful glass of wine, you can get a toscana feeling. Very popular, therefore also, especially summer, very full. There are good ice cream here, also to take away Tuesday's rest day. Latest from the Klosterkatz in February 2013 The tenant has announced that at the moment is being renovated. In March 13, a new tenant will come. It is not yet known what awaits us gastronomic, but a pizzeria should not be anymore. We hope for quality, otherwise it would be a pity for the beautiful location. As soon as I know more, I'll report. News from Saturday 20.4. 13 The monastery block opened again. A new young owner brings momentum to the old house. Classic Mediterranean food from best, fresh, regional ingredients should be available. There's something for every wallet. Breakfast is also offered. And if someone wants to eat an iceball, he's also welcome.
