With a certain stubbornness in search I came to the Landhotel Klostermaier in Icking, almost only a quarter of the hour from our actual destination. It is located directly on the federal road, but on the back has not only a large parking lot, but also an attractively spacious terrace with magnificent views over the valley. I am coming here regularly for business trips. The hotel is modern, rooms are clean, comfortable and equipped with free WiFi. The owners are always present, welcoming and supportive when needed. The in house restaurant serves good local food at reasonable prices. The breakfast offers a great choice of food in a nice setting, in summer with a fantastic mountain view from the terrace. The wellness area of the hotel with a Sauna is great. This is a comfortable hotel with great service, well run at a very reasonable price. I will always be back! I 've separately reviewed the hotel. We 've stayed here three times, and each time we 've eaten at least one dinner in the hotel restaurant. The ingredients are fresh, the meals are well-prepared, and the prices are reasonable (especially by local standards). We have always ordered full dinners, not burgers and fries as mentioned in another review. Nice selection of local beers on tap. In the daytime, if the weather is clear, try to get a window seat or a patio table to enjoy a view of the Alps.

Had diner a couple of times while staying in the hotel. The food is lovely and most of time the service is really friendly. Just one girl in the staff was not fully enjoying her work.. But the view from the terrace is superb and the food from the kitchen is fresh prepared. Decent food for children as well. Would highly recommend this place for diner and sleeping. Traditional Bavarian restaurant serving high quality food in a pleasant atmosphere. It is not loud and the service is perfect. You can eat outside overlooking the mountains. The veal with cranberries was fantastic but all the dishes are enjoyable. This is a destination restaurant or a stop over but you will not be disappointed.
