we had a booking by friends (the ones who lived in front of places) for 3 nights and appeared on Saturday to find only the chef /boss language English. the hotel was full and they didn't have space for us! we got into a private house 4km... equipped in a cellar with a family that didn't speak English! Once we were there, we tried to have a shower, but the drain was blocked and we almost flooded the apt. we had to ask the sohn who doesn't speak English to get a klempner, and we had only 15mn ready to prepare for our party. we had to go back to the bargain and could have stayed the next two nights! our attitude was if they could not give us in the night a room we need, we pay them no more mone...

Austria is a nation where they generally eat well. also in supermarkets there are products that would be an unknown luxury in Germany, but in the rule eating in restaurants is always the same, good, but similar or identical. not here! there is an evolution of tradition that goes beyond this. for what concerns me, the result is not always perfect, but certainly interesting. a result also due to the high quality of the meat I could find in this restaurant. the quality of homemade bread is very interesting. but I have to make a note: as the courts are new, it would be useful to have a more comprehensive declaration, which is put on the table. the place is beautiful and I recommend it, but I fee... My Italian friend knows his way around the gourmet field and we drove some long way to dine at this restaurant. I'm not sure if ours was a special order but the owner had two large cardboard trays of a variety of mushrooms to show...us. The mushrooms had been freshly gathered that day and one tray was for my colleague to take home and the other for our party of 4 to eat there. The mushrooms were fried and attractively presented to us as a main course. The owner/prop and other staff ensured a friendly service and a perfect evening. Visit you won't be disappointed.

we visited this restaurant when we were near mariahof. even if this place was quite quiet on a weekend night, we were pleasantly surprised by the elegant and upscale offered, which compared to almost all other restaurants in the...region of the server was quite patient with us and spoke English well to support those of us whose German lacked. I really want to return to a point so that I could experience this in the summer when it is in full blossom and more fresh ingredients are made available.

The service was a little gruff, but all in all ok. The food was pleasant, but not outstanding. The fact that it is all sourced locally is a bonus. The Rome was also pleasant, but fairly pricey after Slovenia. ( most Austrian wins is). We sat outside and enjoyed the weather. Play equipment is provided to keep the little ones amused. A pleasant experience. Visit Steinschloss whilst you are there.

if you live next door you might want to consider dropping by for lunch. but we drove there, and got a dry fish and a fatty lamb on our plates. the polenta must have been a joke, we failed to see the humor of it....nice dirndls, though even if they weren't what we came for... Reserva una mesa ahora

Very nice, elegant restaurant. Food excellent. Hint: Don't sit in the Stüberl (with ashtrays): go further and take a seat in the nice wintergarden

We didn't eat here: we saw ashtrays inside the establishment and walked out. It was a shame, the menu looked good.
