Kobe is an excellent option for large groups, accommodating up to 10 people at a grill. The restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently, with exceptional service and delicious food. The main drawback, however, is the pricing, as meal costs have risen considerably. For instance, the land and sea dish I ordered was priced at $54. Additionally, there is an automatic 18% gratuity added for larger parties, calculated before tax, which is unusual. While I would suggest Kobe for special occasions like birthdays, I wouldn't recommend it as a regular dining option.
We visited for lunch on a Saturday and were seated next to another group, which turned out to be quite bothersome. We were hoping for a lunch menu, but only the regular menu was available. While the food was decent and the service pleasant, we felt it didn’t justify the $120 bill for lunch. There was a generous amount of food, but the rice was undercooked, and they tended to overload our plates before offering us takeout boxes while we were still eating. Overall, there wasn't anything remarkable about this place, and we don't think it was worth the price.
We had our first experience at Kobé, and it was a blast sitting at the hibachi grill. Our chef, Danny, did an amazing job. I ordered the sirloin steak, and it was cooked to perfection. Just a heads up: the dish comes with both rice and noodles, so you'll get a hefty portion—great if you plan to share or want leftovers! Be sure to make a reservation for the grill.
Chef Butters and server Natasha delivered outstanding service at this restaurant. We enjoyed dinner there, with our expenses ranging from $50 to $100 per person. We rated the food a perfect 5 out of 5, the service also a 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere a solid 4 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the seafood and Chicken Teppanyaki.
