Kobe Jones Teppanyaki

A friend and I bought two Niigata 9-course teppanyaki feast Groupon offers and used them for lunch. What a fantastic deal at $69 each (value $165).There was only one other couple at the teppanyaki table with us so it was almost a private lunch experience. Starting with warm gold leaf sake and ending with honey and vanilla crepe the fabulous dishes just kept arriving. We have just returned from dinner at Kobe Jones Teppanyaki at The Rocks and must say that we were greatly disappointed. We had invited friends visiting from UK to dine with us and told them what a fun night it would be. Couldn't have been more wrong. While the food was ok and there was enough of it the atmosphere was totally non existent. We were expecting at least some interaction with the chef but there was hardly a word spoken, we had to ask what we were eating and were given one word answers. Meal .. amazing.. always amazing. Food and the chefs extraordinaire are, from my perspective, very good.The atmosphere is usually enhanced by the brilliance of the company and we always manage to meet interesting fun people. :) One of the best parts of the Rocks Kobe Teppanyaki experience is meeting new friends around amazing food. :)

Great food and plenty of it. Service not bad but not brilliant. It was a Tuesday night so staffed accordingly. I loved the two tepanyaki chefs working that night and again food was really worth it. Highly recommended

The food was tasty and cooked to my liking. A nice experience for something that little different from the standard restaurant meal. Enjoyed the Traditional Japanese Degustation menu (menu below)
