What a great find...bright flavours, delicious, and good price! Our family of 4 (2A2C) were looking for something else to eat rather than the norm. We were so lucky to have stumbled upon this place! It was an afternoon on our anniversary and we like to explore foods and new eats and Kochu was a brilliant find. This meld of Korean and Japanese is not so much fusion as it is 2 different eats in one place. There is a few dishes that are fusion but that's not the star. Simple rail/countertop seating with QR code for ordering should you choose or the traditional tell them at the cash. The sushi and nigiri at this restaurant were of good quality. I have high standards when it comes to sushi, coming from Vancouver where the standards are also high. I did notice a cancellation of an order on UberEats due to a delay in getting the order out in a reasonable amount of time, but the staff did try to make it right. Despite waiting longer than expected, the staff kept me updated on the progress and apologized sincerely for the delay, which I appreciated. It is important for the owner to address disappointments with the staff, but also to acknowledge their hard work and efforts when they do well. I will return to this restaurant in the future.

Great sushi and poke bowls! They offer brown rice as an option for a small additional cost (a healthier option that isn't available at most other places around so it's much appreciated). So much selection you will find something for everyone multiple inventive vegetarian combinations if you're into that. Ingredients are always fresh and I love how this place delivers to your house for no additional cost if you spend $40 or more. Beautiful presentation in dragon or fish boats if you dine in. I just wish they took reservations to ensure medium to large groups will be accommodated at their time of choice.

I always forget to take pictures of the food at this restaurant because as soon as it arrives, I start eating it! This is currently my favorite place in Ottawa. The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the service and convenience are on point. My husband and I make sure to visit as often as possible. It's the best discovery we've made since moving to Ottawa. Give it a try and you won't regret it!

This restaurant is a cozy mom and pop establishment! The atmosphere and food were both inviting, delicious, and served in generous portions. In addition to Korean dishes, they also offer sushi! Personally, I believe their Korean food and gimbap were the standouts here. I will definitely be returning to sample their other offerings :D

The food was really good! I went there with a few friends. We were walking from a different restaurant that was not very good and found this one. We were seated right away and ordered relatively fast. We had to wait maybe 10minuets before receiving our food. It was very good and was fresh. Would recommend going there.

This was my first time at Kochu. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant and the restaurant is clean. I like how it’s open till midnight Friday and Saturday. Located in Little Italy this is a great spot for good quality Korean. I’ll definitely be back and next time try the sushi.

Three of stopped in for lunch. We used a QR code to access the menu, then ordered and paid using our cell phone. The food was brought out a short time later. The food was fresh, good quality and good size/amount. I'd definitely recommend a visit.

Kochu on Preston St. is one of my favourite sushi places in the city. Been with them since way back when they had the Elgin St location. Excellent menu and a brown rice option. Quick and efficient service, especially if you order ahead.

Amazing!! I got the Elgin Bento Box, I 10/10 recommend, the sushi is incredible and they give just enough condiments, perfectly prepared. I will definitely order again.
