We stayed in the area overnight to make an early flight out of Stansted. We were happy to find somewhere to dine out that wasn’t pub food. A bit dubious that we’d get anything more than adequate “Asian” food, but we were amazed by Koko Thai. I’ve travelled the world and this place is serving as authentic Thai food as you can find anywhere. All fresh, high-quality ingredients and all very reasonably priced. It’s a family run business with “Chef M” at the helm. Lovely, friendly and quirky frontman with aspirations for a Michelin Star and a run at “Top Chef”! Regarding dietary restrictions: One of our guests has a peanut allergy, and the chef took the time to come to our table to ensure we were well taken care of. The staff was more than willing to assist, allowing her to order everything she desired without any worries. Absolutely fabulous food and great service. The owner was a great host and his staff were very good and helpful as well. I will definitely return when I am back in the area.
