Puuuuh die Kuchen kann man echt nicht mehr Essen wenn man bewusster durchs Leben geht. Für Kinder schonmal garnicht empfehlenswert. Alles übertrieben süß. Ich hab ein Mini Stück vom nusskuchen probiert und man schmeckt nichts anderes außer Zucker. Da ist nur das aussehen gehoben, die Zutaten Zusammenstellung ist auf Geld machen aus, selbst wenn es gute Nüsse wären, der Geschmack sollte an oberster Stelle stehen und nicht so überladen werden von Zucker. Konditorei Café Klingenlhöfer locates at the most north end of Wettergasse. It‘s around 100m north from the cityhall of Marburg. They sell variety of cakes and original designed chocolates.off course you can enjoy them at the Cafe. The team of this shop won the 1st prize of championship “Deutschlands bester Weihnachtbäcker“ in 2015. Waitress were very friendly,and accommodated us well. They have tables at down floor too. Only the bakery is excellent, breakfast was rather poor, unsatisfying and not tasty. I often buy bread, cakes and quiche here, they are really good and very tasty but the breakfast was very expensive and not worth at all. We called earlier in the day to reserve a table for breakfast and when arriving they told us that the kitchen was closed. We could only order boiled egg which took forever to come. A must for baked goods but avoid breakfast there.
Für meinen Geschmack gibt es hier den besten Kuchen in Marburg. Das Stammhaus im Südviertel ist ein sehr schön gestaltetes Café auf der Höhe der Zeit, in dem Tradition und modernes Ambiente geschickt kombiniert wurden. Aber wie gesagt: Allein schon die Qualität des Kuchens rechtfertigt die 5 Sterne und weitere Besuche!
Nice cafe. A bit busy at times and hard to get service, but the food is great! Try the chocolate, obviously that is their speciality. The cakes are also above the normal standard. Coffee is ok. Not bad but not special. Be prepared to wait. Service can be mixed. Some very friendly and some unfriendly.

Went here after a 25 year hiatus. Has not changed, the best cake I have ever had, that is the house torte.
I find the service very friendly, but the prices are too high (e.g.: a ball egg costs 1.20 euros)
