Wow …. Come to the Peak District for a break and on our first day walk to Everest base camp ….. seriously !!!! So hungry we saw this place last night and thought we should try ….. As we sat down we thought oh no it does everything….. immediately thought if they do everything they probably don’t do one thing very well….. OMG …… we were so wrong and let me tell you if you know me well he would know that I’m never wrong …. This place is amazing we had a mega pitter followed by a huge piece of baklava and Greek coffee which was all absolutely amazing having spent a lot of time travelling and a lot of time in Greece I have to say that the food Is brilliant and the lovely girls that work here are all so lovely…. I’m talking in the present because I’m doing this review as we are eating I am that impressed if you are in this area or nearby you must come because supporting great businesses like this that truly want to make a difference is worth every penny they deserve it. Thank you guys xx

We picked Kouros Cafe for an evening meal for something a bit different as we don't have a Greek restaurant nearby at home. We're glad we did! The food was excellent. We were spoilt for choice as we wanted to try a lot of the menu. We had starters of Spetsofai and Spanakopitakia which were both amazing and good portions for a starter. For mains we tried Kleftiko and of course the Moussaka which was appreciated on a cold winter evening. The only regret is we were too full to try dessert as the Portokalopita sounded amazing! The restaurant is a little bit further from the main street in Chapel-en-le-Frith and that might be why it was a little quieter than other restaurants on a Saturday. It certainly isn't the food which was splendid. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. We appreciated them helping teach us how to pronounce some of the dishes which we were unfamiliar with. We hope to return some day to try more of the menu.

We popped out for an impromptu lunch, and ended up in Kouros as ever, we were not disappointed! I had a panini with salad tzatziki, my husband had the chicken gyros with chips salad. The most authentic Greek experience, food and atmosphere. The outside area is beautiful with Greek music playing in the background, we could have been in Crete! The homemade Tzatziki is absolutely delicious, the gyros is super authentic and the chips are always perfect, not greasy at all. Everything from the drinks, food and atmosphere to the service, was exceptional. Well done Karen Spiros!

Came in miday last week ordered a large kouros chicken pitta which is literally.. chicken.. chips.. and salad on a pitta bread. I sat with my drink waiting.. half an hour passed… I asked where it was they said 5 minutes. Chef spoke over the counter saying sorry. 10-15 minutes later my food came.. boring, unimaginative, and OVERPRICED. Waisted almost an hour of my day off and also waisted a good chunk my money.
