Booked well in advance although despite Friday night we never saw more than another max. 10 guests at a time. Must have been because U21 Germany was playing finals vs. Spain 30 June 2017 (and won).A group of 4 to get s good start into weekend and belated birthday "party" was greeted warmly at the bar and promptly when to s table for four. Tables are around the room, space between them nice to protect confidentiality when you talk to each other, elegant/modern set up with sofa on the wall and chairs room side, dark brown wood, "leather" cognac color, candles, real napkins (not thin paper but cloth), nice cutlery and very elegant and matching glasses.... you cant help but feeling comfortable.Service is very professional and attentive, always there before you kind of think you need something but without being a nuisance if you know what I mean.There is a blackboard to choose from to make a menu of 4 courses in addition to the normal menu or a 12 course menu that is only available if the entire table goes for it, so we took that. Had a glass of champagne to start with, several bottles of water (still, medium and sparkling available) and two bottles of a great white, espressi with the last course and sat for a very enjoyable 4 hours over one of the most tasty menu we ever enjoyed. Salmon carpaccio, caviar, gazpacho with grilled prawn, beef carpaccio, delicious fish, guinea fowl, American angus, truffled cheese, sweets.... hard to remember all the delicacies we indulged on. Each a very small, well presented portion, all together almost, just almost, too much. At EUR 90 p.p. Not overpriced as quality was exquisite.Service is perfect, professional and personal, host takes care herself and is highly interested in your feedback.We had a great night out and already made plans when to come again. Das Restaurant Kraftwerk hat seinen Platz in einem ungewöhnlichen Ambiente - einer ehemaligen Autowerkstatt - gefunden. Einige Oldtimer verzieren noch die Location, es sind echte Hingucker, die Idee ist nett und gut umgesetzt. Das Kraftwerk gilt als das beste Restaurant außerhalb von Frankfurt, im Umkreis von Oberursel. Es hat zwei Hauben im Guide Gault Millau, was ordentlich ist und als Empfehlung herhalten kann. Wir sind nicht so angetan von Speisen und Getränken, weil wir das Genuss-/Preisverhältnis des Menüs als nicht passend empfunden und auch den österreichischen Wein als überteuert wahrgenommen haben. Nun gut, über Geschmack lässt sich streiten, das ist auch gut so. Wir haben einfach mehr erwartet, vielleicht liegt es an den (im allgemeinen guten) Bewertungen, die wir vorab kannten oder auch am Ambiente, das eher kühl auf uns wirkte. Es war einfach nicht unser Ding...

Erwartungsvoll hatten wir das Wiener Schnitzel bestellt und uns auf ein Schnitzel wie in der Kindheit in Österreich gefreut. Die zwei kleinen Schnitzelchen mit einem Fleischanteil, der gegen die Panade nicht ankam erfüllten dies nicht. Der Kartoffel-Gurkensalat, der in der Marinade ertrunken war, weckte eher Kindheitserinnerungen im negativen Sinn.Der Steinbutt konnte seinen feinen Geschmack auch nicht gegen die eher kräftige Pfifferlingssoße mit harten Paprikastückchen durchsetzen.Punkten konnten Ambiente und freundlicher Service.

Es war unser 1. Besuch im Kraftwerk und wir sind begeistert! Hier passt einfach alles: schöne Location - netter, aufmerksamer Service - sehr gutes Menue!Die Preise sind gehoben, aber absolut gerechtfertigt! Jeder unserer 4 Gänge (plus dem Gruß aus der Küche!) war extrem lecker! 60€ für ein 4-Gang Menue ok!Wir waren zu 4. - hatten unterschiedliche Auswahlen getroffen: alle happy! Da wohnt man seit 10 Jahren in oberursel und kommt jetzt erst "auf den Geschmack"... großes Lob!

Iniziamo con gli aspetti positivi. Location bella e piacevole. Personale gentile. Accogleinza professionale. Ti traducono il menù in inglese.Aspetti positivi: il menù è altisonante ma i piatti sono tutto sommato normali con porzioni ridotte. Il prezzo è alto, molto alto rispetto alla qualità e quantità. SCONSIGLIATO
